• Discover IndiaChildren were taken on a virtual tour of the capital city, New Delhi and shown the important monuments.Special Events• World Health Day-On 7 th April, children celebrated this day

vide different activities, PPT, followed by Zumba.• Fancy Dress- My favourite cartoon character.• Baisakhi-Children celebrated this harvest festival, by wearing

yellow colour dresses, and dancing to foot- tapping music, followed by an Art & Craft activity.

• Earth Day -The 51 st Earth Day, with the theme ‘Restore Our Earth’ was celebrated with enthusiasm vide singing earth day songs and discussions followed by an art/ craft activity.

• World Book Day- On 23 rd April, ‘World Book Day’ was celebrated with parent volunteers talking about the importance of reading books and narrating stories to the children.

• People Who Help Us –Children learnt all about the community helpers vide various activities. They were sensitized towards

being grateful to all the helpers and guided to make thank you cards for their house helps.

1. CELEBRATIONS:-CELEBRATING A NEW BEGINNING (05.04.21)Virtual fun activities , magic show and puppet show were planned forthe students to make their first day of the new session a memorableone.

• WORLD HEALTH DAY CELEBRATION ( 07.04.21)The celebration of this special day began with a discussion andreflection on this year’s theme – ‘BUILDING A FAIRER, HEALTHIERWORLD FOR EVERYONE.’ Thereafter, importance of eating healthy andstaying fit were also emphasised upon. Children also made sprout salad.

BAISAKHI CELEBRATION (13.04.21)A short movie was shown to thestudents showcasing the relevance ofthe festival as well as how it iscelebrated in different parts of India.This was followed by a craft activity inwhich children drew sheaf of wheatand also decorated the same by papertearing/ ear bud painting . The Bhangrapresentation by the children addedfervour to the celebration.

WORLD EARTH DAY – The 51 st Earth Day theme- Restore Our Earth, wasdiscussed with the students wherein they shared their ideas of preservingthe beauty of our planet and illustrated the same with lovely messages.MAY DAY- HONOURING PEOPLE WHO HELP US‘Gratitude in Attitude’ towards the people who help us. Children paintedlovely bouquets of flowers to acknowledge and appreciate the helprendered by them. A short movie on ‘Dabbawalas’ was shown.

LIFE SKILL ACTIVITY (15.04.21)Children learnt and displayed the skillof folding a T- Shirt.3.FITNESS PROGRAMME FOR OURLITTLE ONES,TO ENJOY THE GLOW OFGOOD HEALTH-‘ FITNESS KA DOSE,ADHA GHANTA ROZ’ 30 minutes dailyfitness session.

CLASS II:-i) MAKING OF A STRING INSTRUMENT- to explore the different soundsmade by different musical instruments, children made a string instrumentto understand how sound is created when the strings are plucked.(ENGLISH)ii) Making of Sound Shakers and recording the observations thereafter onloud and soft sounds. (ENGLISH)iii) POEM RECITATION -Children recited the poem ‘SOUND OF THINGS’with correct intonation and expression. (ENGLISH)iv) BINDI DWARA ANUSWAR KI MATRA LAGAKAR SHABD PURA KARO –(HINDI)v) SHAPES- Children made different animals using cut outs of shapes. Thisenhanced their creativity and critical thinking. Baisakhi Celebration

Baisakhi, a vivid and vibrant festival imprintsthe beginning of Solar New Year. Students ofJunior school celebrated the day byperforming folk dances dressed up intraditional attire, designed the cards,planters and kites yearning for a brightfuture. Paying homage to the martyrs of theJallianwala Bagh Massacre, students recalledtheir contribution to the freedom struggle.

Earth Day Celebration On 22.04.21

•The 51st Earth Day, with the theme 'Restore Our Earth' was celebratedwith enthusiasm by the students of classes Nursery to 5, vide online quizand various art integrated projects. A special webinar was also organizedwith Ms. Phani Trivedi, an environmentalist and Dir. with WastengagePvt. Ltd. who interacted with the students and discussed about theimportance of environment conservation. During the webinar Ma'amgave tips on how to save water and electricity. She also emphasized onsegregation of waste before disposal and discouraging the use of plasticand non bio degradable substances.

Book Days

Our gallants participated actively during the#BOOK DAYS celebrated @BVN commemoratingthe #International Book Day. Studentsenthusiastically took a plunge in many fun filledactivities including DEAR (Drop Everything AndRead), Acrostic poems, Tree of Books and StoryNarration.

A special webinar was also organized with Ms. Phani Trivedi, anenvironmentalist and Dir. with Wastengage Pvt. Ltd. who interactedwith the students and discussed about the importance of environmentconservation. During the webinar ma'am gave tips on how to save waterand electricity. She also emphasised on segregation of waste beforedisposal and discouraging use of plastic and non bio degradablesubstances.

Story Narration Session

A story narration was organized on27th April for classes 3, 4 and 5.MsSwati Sinha , a renowned story tellerand a voice over artist enthralled thestudents by narrating a real story ofRuskin Bond. The students weretotally captivated by her exceptionalgestures and expressions. The sessionended by students asking Ms Sinhaquestions on how to enhance theirreading skills.

Founders’ Day

Founders’ Day and Investiture Ceremony of BVN ( junior) wascelebrated virtually on 30th April 2021 with full enthusiasmand zeal. The program was an amalgamation of school song,cultural dance and a short snippet about our legends - BKBirla and Sarala Birla. Our guest of honour Master VeerKashyap, Rashtriya Bal Puraskar recipient, motivated thestudents by sharing his journey of creating an innovativeboard game and getting recognized for his creative mind andskills. The newly elected students council took the oath andthe ceremony came to an end with the National Anthem.
