1976- Neat Steam Laundry, Located at Barangay Salcedo, Noveleta, Cavite, started washing linens for some hotels and motels. 1978- It ventured washing denim garments with Levi Strauss Philippines Inc. as one of its original customers. Other customers were Grant, Wynners and Cone. 1981- The company purchased a 1,800 sq. meter lot with one- storey building in Barangay Magdiwang of the same town. New customers

accommodated were Crismina, GTI and Philippine Apparel (for Liz Claibourne and Gap). 1989- It expanded its washing operations to include dry finishing. Neat Steam Laundry ceased Operations and NOVECA Industries Inc. was established. 1991- A second storey was constructed to accommodate the increasing demand for washing and dry finishing. Consequently, sandblasting operations started using Filipino technology, making Noveca Industries Inc. the first company to have a sandblasting facility in the Philippines.

1994- The company purchased a 1.5 hectare lot at Barangay Poblacion and consequently built a 3,000 sq. meter factory to house its entire operations. This was fondly called NOVECA 2 and the old building was referred to as NOVECA 1. In later years It was demolished to give way to the construction of the owner’s residence.

Jan 1996- It established its cut sew operations to become a fully integrated garment company, with warehousing, cutting, sewing, washing,, finishing and packing departments. Mar 1997- An adjacent 1.5-hectare lot was purchased. Construction started to build another factory with an area of 3,650 sq. meters. This building as NOVECA 3, housed its fabric & sun-dries/materials warehouses, cut ting, sewing & finishing. While NOVECA 2 maintained the washing & pressing operations.

Nov 1997- ICEL INCORPORATED was established to fulfill the export business requirements offered by Levi’s USA. Nov 1999- Construction of NOVECA 4 started. The facility finished construction on February 2000 and is besidesNOVECA 3. Mar 2000- ICEL opened a new Sewing line in N4 for the Dockers Tops Line. In the next succeeding years, the export business grew to service other brands like Liz Clairborne, Jones Apparel and American Eagle Outfitters.

Dec 2002- The Board of Directors of NOVECA decided to concentrate on washing operations and offered manufacturing to another company renting in the compound. July 2003 - NOVECA was accredited by GAP Inc. as one of their laundry contractors. Mar 2005 -NOVECA decides to reopen its sewing line under a cooperative management. Currently, the facility has 6 sewing lines.

August 2005 – Noveca reacquires its buildings and is currently expanding its operations. The company adopts a vertical setup in its operations, making it an all-in-one garments manufacturing company. September 2005 - Noveca buys LECTRA equipment for their cutting and pattern making purposes. October 2005 — Noveca re-established the Merchandising Department and sets up an IMPORT and EXPORT group to get ready for FOB and sourcing.

2006 —Acquired Levis Strauss Signature as first client for FOB. October 2006 —In order to completely address the needs of their clients with regards to compliance audits and certification, the company established its own Compliance Office, which makes sure that the company maintains its standard way of operations and to ensure proper compliance to the terms of engagement of their clients.

January 2007—The company went through Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CT-PAT) training and certification to comply with security standards and procedures required by their American clients. The factory further improves its facilities by adding security cameras and by training its employees on new security procedures. March 1, 2008– Former employees of the Com-pany organized themselves into Fine Holdings Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Creative Hands Multi-Purpose Cooperative to provide the sewing, finishing and detailing services of our goods.

These operatives have likewise complied with our clients’ social, health and safety requirements as part of our strict policy on compliance.
