The band rocked the place from 8.30 onwards and we all sang Sinterklaas songs together and the children had the opportunity to dance with the 'Pieten'. Upon arriving at the HSL Sinterklaas took a spin on an electric rickshaw on the playground together with some of the Pieten. Fortunately I-Piet and Air balloon-Piet arrived at school on time so the Sinterklaas visit could really take off. Sinterklaas then really enjoyed visiting all the different classrooms together with his Pieten. All in all a wonderful day that was thoroughly enjoyed by children and adults alike. We would like to warmly thank each and everyone involved in the Sinterklaas activities in any way for their contributions. We wish you all a wonderful Sinterklaas celebration! With kind regards, Meino Meines HSL Principal

The first term of our extracurricular activities (or NSA) has come and gone, the last activity took place today. This means we are now looking towards term 2. All primary school parents will receive an email on Monday 4 December with a personal invitation to register their child/children for the upcoming NSA term. The email will contain the login details needed for your family to use the NSA web portal. Jip & Janneke parents will receive a separate email for the registration process, which for them doesn't run on the portal. On the NSA web portal you will find all practical information about the full range of programs offered and registration instructions. There are some requirements for participation in the program. We kindly advise to read the information carefully, especially if you sign your children up for the first time. If by Tuesday morning 5 December you still haven't received an email, please contact [email protected]. You may also use this email if you run into technical problems while registering your children. Registration runs from Monday 4 December through Sunday 10 December. After this date registration for the activities is no longer possible. This is because all registrations are automatically converted into schedules for the NSA program providers, the HSL teachers and Woodlands Transport. After assigning all the application you will receive either confirmation or cancellation (in case of insufficient participants) of the activity by email. The final confirmation will also serve as invoice. The program will start on Monday 15 January 2018. Good luck with your registrations and if you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

We would like to warmly invite you to an information evening about this camp on Tuesday 9 January at 7 pm. During this evening the program, the journey and the safety of the camp will be discussed. Mark van Loo (the founder of the camp) will join us this evening, too.

My name is Chantal Kromdijk, mother of Jayden (5b) and Devon (1/2c). Because of my husband Michael's job we left the beautiful Netherlands for our wonderful Singapore last January. I am the new face behind the front desk since last week. You will mostly find me here on Mondays and Thursdays. I am happy to be involved in the Hollandse School as parent/volunteer and to be able to contribute for parents and Hollandse school staff both. See you around soon, Chantal
