A Week in Review Construction Newsletter September 16, 2017 Patient Wing • Excavation to subgrade for the north section of the parking lot is in progress • Interior sheetrock is continuing to go up from the ICUs south in the rooms and corridors
• Taping and finishing is in progress, paint will follow soon • Interior blocking is substantially complete in the rooms and corridors • The stucco finish coat is being applied, the east wall is complete and crews were working on the west side Friday
• The three layers in stucco consist of a scratch coat at the bottom, a brown coat in the middle, and a final finish coat on top • Fireproofing is complete at the ED canopy and the ED corridor is almost complete
• Fireproofers will return next week to finish up ED corridor and family waiting • MEP rough-in for the ED corridor is about 50% complete, once the fireproofing is complete everything should wrap up quickly • Asphalt paving was placed at the emergency entrance Friday • The switch-over for ATS-3 and ATS-4 took place Thursday night, heavy rain prevented the switch-over for the EMS/Plant Ops from
happening • Nunn held a barbecue for all the subcontractors on site Thursday (around 120+ people!) MOB • Exterior windows on the west side have been installed and flashing is installed on the west and south walls • Exterior sheathing is complete on the new building
• Screw inspection Thursday morning, insulation is ready to begin next week • Interior wall blocking started this week and they are approximately half way through the first level • Blocking layout started on the second floor

What’s Next? Construction Newsletter September 16, 2017 Patient Wing • Work will continue on the north section of the parking lot, the entrance from Mildred will be left open until the public entrance is
temporarily relocated • Irrigation work is planned to begin next week, with a new irrigation main to get water back to the SW corner of the hospital grounds • The exterior stucco finish coat will be complete next week and exterior stone is scheduled to begin Monday • Fireproofers are almost complete and will resume work next week
• Overhead mechanical, plumbing, and electrical can begin once fireproofing is complete • The small amount of interior wall framing will follow next week once fireproofing is complete and MEP in the corridor will wrap up after
that MOB • Exterior insulation will continue next week now that the sheathing has been completed and inspected and liquid flashing will follow behind
insulation • The building should be dried in within the next few weeks
• Stucco is planned to shift over to the MOB once the Patient Wing stucco is completed and after air and weather barrier system is complete • Interior blocking will resume next week on both floors • The elevator subcontractor is scheduled to begin their installation on Monday
