CNIS CNIS CNIS CNIS CNIS Chronicle Christ Nagar International School, News Letter Vol. 16 Xmas: 2010 Integrity Excellence Empathy Happy Xmas, New Year and Chavara Day Greetings from CNIS University of Cambridge International Examinations - UK, Registered Centre BRITISH COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD A dream realized .... CNIS Centre for Social Action ‘Gram Darshan’ a charity drive programme of Christ Nagar International School students, Trivandrum, has constructed and donated a small and beautiful house to Mr Raju a poor man from Kattakkada. Rev Fr Provincial Dr Kuncheria Pathil CMI, blessed the house and Rev Fr Mathews Chakkalakkal, Manager handed over the key to Mr Raju. Rev Frs Josey Kollammalil, Cyriac Kanayil, Joseph Ayyamkary, Reni Kalathail, George Vempadanthara and his parishioners from Germany, Mr Thomas Mani, Teachers and students of CNIS were also present during the blessing ceremony. This is the fourth social service project of CNIS. Sponsoring the study expenses of a poor nursery school at Koliyoor, sponsoring the children of poor fishermen community of Valiyathura, sponsoring the Children at RCC-Trivandrum etc.. were some of the projects undertaken by the school students of CNIS. The students collected the amount through conducting food fests, sale of Xmas greeting cards, gift packets, onam kits sale, xmas cake sale, raffle etc.. A VERY BIG THANKS and CONGRATS to the teachers of CNIS, CNItes and Parents for their dedication, cooperation and hard work Teacher’s Day CNIS celebrated Teacher’s day by conducting a special assembly and Rev Fr. Josey felicitated all the teachers of CNIS and the students did Guru Pooja on the same function.. Heartfelt Condolences The beloved father of Ms.Deepa Raj kumar passed away on 16 th November 2010. Rev Fr Manager, Fr Principal, Rev Fathers from Christ Hall Monastery and Mr Thomas Mani visited Ms Deepa’s family and expressed their condolences. Christmas at CNIS As always Christmas was celebrated with a touch of spark and spirit, this year’s theme for Xmas was “Alice In Wonderland and her experiences in the modern era’. The celebrations began with a small prayer by CNIte Anand of grade VII. The chief guests for our function were Mr and Mrs Katper from Germany. Rev. Fr. Mathews Chakkalakkal inaugurated the function by the ceremonious blessing of the cake.CNItes danced to different tunes, enacted plays and the event came to a close with the nativity scene. This year we also organized a Christmas raffle through which we had raised an amount of Rs 40,000 by selling about 4000 tickets
