The fact is, I’ve started this journey every Monday morning and by 11.30am I’ve failed miserably as the offi ce biscuit box is passed around and I’ve helped myself to a few cookie’s to dip into my coffee and two sugars!

I’m tired of waking every day, thinking, ‘I’ll start my diet today!’ Sound familiar? I’m one of the many thousands of women whom struggle every day to eat healthily. Work and family commitments, coupled with a desire to comfort-eat when I’m feeling particularly stressed or the day just doesn’t go my way, has led to me carrying a few more pounds than I’d care to admit.

I’ve tried every diet going……. You name it and I’ve done it and yes, I’ve lost weight many times. However, I’ve put it all back on again, falling back into my comfort-zone of picking from the fridge, binging on sweet treats late at night and indulging in too much red wine at the weekend.

My Husband celebrated his 40th birthday recently and to celebrate we booked a special cruise to the Caribbean. It’s a holiday of a lifetime, but instead of looking forward to the holiday, I was fi lled with dread at the thought of squeezing into a swimsuit and parading around in my summer dresses. At least in winter I can cover up (sound familiar again)? Then, out

of the blue I received an email from Lighterlife Fast regarding their 5:2 Weight Loss plan. Zegnia and Matthew got married in their home town of Nayland at St. James’

church in Suffolk with the wedding reception at Zegnia’s parents back garden at Bear House where she grew up.

Dress: Ian Stuart from the Killer Queen Collection called Basilica, in taupe with metallic lace.

Shoes: Carvela spotted in the shop window- a must have decision.

Headpiece: Timeless Couture. It was handmade with a vintage brooch"Something old".

Vintage photographs of their parents and grand parents on their wedding day, decorated the guest book wall inside the Tipi.

Around the Tipi the sisters had adorned the walkways with night lights in jars and decorated inside with fairy lights, candles and fl owers. A birch centrepiece was placed on each table and birch signs outside - Zegnias' surname being Birch!

"Our photographer was Lucy Wallace. She was recommended by another photographer. We met her in London and knew immediately she was the right person. We didn't want our guests to have to stand around for ages while we had loads of posed formal photographs. Instead we wanted to be able to spend as much time with our guests and have our wedding photographer capture all the memories of the day. Zegnia’s advice to brides

would be to make the most of the planning. "When I went dress

shopping we always made a day of it - champagne lunches and celebrating with

my mum and bridesmaids. Those were some of the best bits of the whole process. We also made sure that we celebrated before and after the wedding. So on the Friday night the guys

had a curry and the girls had a movie night, on the Saturday we had a relaxed BBQ, and on the Bank Holiday Monday a lunch where I

wore my dress again. That way it gave us more time to spend with

family and friends."

Tipi: Hired from Beautiful World Tents, this was the fi rst decision the couple made and the wedding grew around this vision.

QOn my wedding day I am sure to cry and ruin my eye make-up. How can I ensure

my eye make-up stays in place for the whole day?

Question answered by Jane Mather of Image Trees.

ADuring the weeks leading up to your wedding follow a beauty routine suitable for your skin

type; cleanse, tone and moisturise every day (and night), drink plenty of water and exfoliate once or twice a week. All these things will help guarantee that your skin (and the area underneath your eye) is in the best possible condition for yourwedding day.

Before applying any eye make-up ensure your eye area is completely clean, that under your eye is correctly moisturised and that there is no greasiness to the eye area. As with the face it is really important to use a make-up primer on your eye lids; look for one specifi cally designed for that area. A primer on the eye lids will add a wonderful smooth base on which to apply your eye shadow but will also help to keep your eye make-up in place through out your wedding day.

Wearing an eye liner enhances the eye area and if applied correctly can really make your eyes stand out, but you need to be careful to choose an eye liner that will not run or smudge. Gel eye liners are perfect for such an occasion.

After curling your eye lashes opt for waterproof mascara (in your chosen colour) and, budget permitting, purchase one specifi cally for your wedding day, so that the quality of the mascara is at its best and it hasn’t dried out at all.

Last but not least, should you cry on your wedding day don’t rub your eyes! Just take a tissue and gentle dab away the tears.

QAt Phyllis Court one of the questions we are always asked is “Can we include a

boat trip in our Wedding Day?”

A"Yes, of course”. Whether you would like to arrive from the

Church or include a half hour trip in your day, just you and your new partner with a glass of champagne, or for the rest of your guests to join you for a river trip. We are perfectly situated right on the river in the centre of Henley on Thames, we have our own moorings, so no matter how large or small the boat, we can always oblige.

Our unique Riverside Pavilion has recently been refurbished and is a show piece in itself, guests often think it is actually fl oating on the river, so weddings are a real must in this beautiful two tiered glass building. Our other venue is completely different – a classic Ballroom with beautiful columns and French windows that lead out on to its own private terrace, with lawns leading down to the river. Both venues are perfect for a riverside wedding.

QI am a mature bride and planning my fi rst wedding, I still want to look the

part but worry about the type of dress I should go for can you help?

AThe fi rst thing to remember when buying your wedding dress is that every bride is

different. There are no set rules about what you should or shouldn’t wear.

We always encourage brides, whatever their age, to try on a variety of different shapes and they are often surprised by what wows them. Getting the colour tone right can also transform a bride from looking good to looking amazing. Don’t be afraid to try champagne, gold and even Blush tones.

We have lots of brides who ideally would like their arms covered and set out looking for a dress with sleeves. This can limit their search so we suggest keeping an open mind and have a play around with jackets. The choice is so vast you can choose anything from a delicate angel sleeve to a vintage lace bolero to a glamorous marabou stole.

The most important thing is that you feel sensational in your dress.
