Welcome to our Spring 2014 issue. We’re now in our 10th year and we’ll be celebration in one way or another all year long!
We’re exhibiting at The National Wedding Shows at the NEC in Birmingham on 28th Feb and 1st and 2nd March 2014 and also at the National Wedding Show at Manchester Central on 15th & 16th March. Make sure you come and see us. We’re always happy to offer help and advice and we have over ten years of experience when it comes to helping you choose the very best wedding products and services.
This issue we’ve got lots of wonderful features to help you make the most of your big day. Take a look at our ‘theme pages’ we’ve focused on Rustic Charm and there’s also a special feature entitled ‘It’s all in the detail’ which looks at all the little extras you’ll need in order to make your day extra special and personal to you.
I know that looking your best on the day itself is of paramount importance. I receive hundreds of emails on health and beauty each issue. To this end we have a fabulous health and beauty section, looking at everything from tanning products to handwash! We’ve even taken a closer look at the innovative Lipoglaze from LoveliteUK – this revolutionary non-surgical fat reduction treatment literally kills off fat cells in one 50-minute session. It helps to improve appearance and increase body confi dence…. And we all need a bit of that don’t we?
We’re running our popular feature, ‘Ask the experts’, once again so keep sending me your questions and I’ll enlist the help of our professionals in the industry to help answer them for you.
We also have a fantastic reader prize-draw for our Spring issue. Enter at the shows, on-line or through the post and you could be the lucky winner of a Music Wedding Video Booth courtesy of Music Wedding Videos (www.musicweddingvideos.com). They are offering a prize which consists of four hours of fun for you and your guest. This includes photos of all participants, props and personal video messaging for an hour for guests to leave their good luck messages.
Pick up a copy of our sister publication from selected Asda, Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsburys supermarkets across the North of England. You'll also fi nd it at the biggest and best wedding shows in the North. Visit www.nationalweddingsmagazine.co.uk where you can view it online.

Ask theEXPERTS
QI am planning my own wedding and fi nding it quite stressful, do you have
someone on site who could help assist me with the wedding planning?
Question answered by Sarah Huckerby at Marriott Forest of Arden.
AEvery wedding day should be special and a day to remember. It should also be a
celebration you enjoy, from start to fi nish. It’s all about the planning, if you can agree your time line from the start everything should slot into place.
Once you have chosen the date, booked the venue and church (if applicable) the rest is easy, and fun too! Allow some time for you and your partner, go to the gym together or a simple walk. You have all your friends and family around to help be creative and think of ideas, most importantly your Mums (there are two now), Maid of Honours and Best Men, not forgetting your Fiancé, keep them involved and use them to your advantage with cutting, sticking and traipsing around the shops to fi nd what is right for your special day.
Plan to fi nalise your menu, drinks packages and numbers a month before so you can leave the last few weeks to concentrate on the fi nal touches for your wedding party and your outfi t and hair and make-up, you will look perfect and be relaxed too!
QHow do you know who is a real Wedding Photographer and who is not?
Question answered by Jon Dow at Keylight Photography.
AThese days there are many new photographers who have started due
to job losses and in obtaining a good digital camera, they consider themselves professional. The best way to fi nd a real one is to start at the MPA database. I am a fully-qualifi ed Master Photographer of Weddings and with 18 year’s experience and around 900 Weddings photographed, it is easy for me to demonstrate my credentials. Find a photographer that can show at least 100 real weddings and a minimum of fi ve year’s experience and you should be OK. The more transparent and fl exible the photographer, the better. I run Keylight like an open book and thousands of customers visit my Facebook page where everything I do is visible. Demonstrating un-edited images is also important, with many only showing heavily recovered Photoshopped photos.
QI am looking for some suits for myself and my groomsmen, we are looking
for something unusual, bespoke but distinguished, what can you suggest? Question answered by Stephen Bishop at Stephen Bishop Suiting.
AThe term “unusual” is very broad. Is it a bright pink suit with polka dots or
something classy with a twist? If the latter how about my Tailcoat designed with a Shawl (Tux) collar. This look is defi nitely Formal but with a twist. If it is a lounge suit that you are after then what about a tonic, almost Mod like suit with satin lapels and funky lining. A cross between old and new, Formal suit and tux, this style would be classed as different. Beware though, unusual might suit you but it may not suit all of your groomsmen.
QDo you recommend couples to have a video of their big day?
Question answered by Kevin Bagnall at Music Wedding Videos.
AMany people are still under the misconception that wedding videos are on
for far too long and are fi lmed by your uncle on a shaky camcorder. This is defi nitely not the case these days with the superb technology and creative people within the wedding industry.
Your wedding day can now be fi lmed more or less whichever way and style you want, containing whichever content. For example, we turn the whole day in to a music video with a duration of 5-6 mins that you can pop on facebook and Youtube. If that is too short for you, you could get it fi lmed in super 8mm, recreating a vintage look compliments your wedding style. If your main concern is having a videographer there all day and getting in the way, then why not hire the cameras and shoot it yourself? There are companies out there that will edit it for you. This is particularly good for getting the real person in front of the camera if it is a friend or family member behind it.
There are many ways you can relive your special day but heed warning! There are still companies out there that do not fulfi ll their promises. Always make sure that you get to look at their portfolio beforehand. I also always advise to meet up with them at the earliest convenience too, we will be spending the day with you so you need to feel comfortable and at ease. Happy hunting guys and please let me know of other novel ways of getting your day etched in to history

Lipoglaze™ is a revolutionary non-surgical fat reduction treatment which literally kills off fat cells
in one 50-minute session.
The treatment targets fatty areas in the tummy, arms, legs and thighs with fast results, no scaring and no pain. The brand new treatment from the USA is available in the UK for the fi rst time and has been launched by leading beauty spa treatments company LoveLite.
Lipoglaze™ gently warms up the treatment area which encourages blood and fat to separate. Then by using Cryotherapy, it carefully freezes away fat cells, without the need for high risk invasive surgery.
The system uses a powerful non-invasive vacuum suction to treat the target areas. In the fi rst few minutes
a warm sensation is replaced by a cold feeling which means the treatment is starting to take effect. Fat cells crystallise, break down and over a course of a couple of months the physical results are visible.
Based on Cryotherapy and researched and developed by Harvard scientists, who have concluded that if the body’s temperature is reduced within certain areas (such as fat cells) to a point where there is a formation of ice crystals, this will in turn cause cell death, medically know as Apoptosis. Cryotherapy is FDA approved and is a safer and much more controlled non-invasive treatment.
The treatment has now been brought to the UK by beauty entrepreneurs, Debra Robson and Donnamarie McBride who have over 30 years of joint experience in the beauty and spa industry.

Are you looking to remove those unwanted muffin tops, reduce that jelly belly or create a more toned appearance? Then Lipoglaze™ treatments are for you.The Lovelite team of cosmetic beauty experts will undergo a private consultation with you at the exclusive Haley Street Clinic. They will discover your body aims and objectives before undergoing fat reduction treatments, & will also access the area and suggest which size Lipoglaze machine suction head will be required.
How long does Lipoglaze™ take?A Lipoglaze treatment takes up to one hour, per area to complete, you wont even feel the fat cells crystalising and breaking down, disappearing for good! Once your treatment is complete, Lovelite provides you with an aftercare programme to follow. Lipoglaze is simply 'lunch time lipo'.
Where is Lipoglaze™ available?Lipoglaze™ is available at their head offi ce clinic, Harley Street and they have technicians dotted around the UK. To fi nd your local salon/clinic please contact the team.
What their clients have to say on LoveLite Ice..."I started noticing a bit of a difference a couple of weeks after having the treatment but it was six weeks to two months later that I noticed the real difference. My weight on the scales has not changed however people keep telling me how much weight I have lost and I have been able to wear things I have not fi tted in to for years because I was too conscious of my stomach. My stomach is noticeably much fl atter and I feel more confi dent and happy with my body. I went to a fancy dress party for Halloween and wore a tight fi tting cat suit which I never would have done before! The fact the treatment didn't hurt at all, was quick and had no downtime makes it even better. I would recommend this to anyone and would defi nitely have other areas of mybody treated."Vicky Eldridge - Editor of Cosmetic News

There are pitfalls at every turn that you must be aware of. Firstly and most
importantly don't buy off a website with incredible images as they will almost certainly be copied from designer sites and not genuine articles! How will you even know if the style or colour suits you or not? What about the fi t? Who will give you advice on alterations?
What chance do you have of the perfect gown when purchasing an online version that appears to be a bargain when it is made from inferior material, false beads instead of crystal, cheap thread that rips and no boning for structure? And who wants to be telling their friends and relatives they got their dream gown off eBay anyway? Even with the added protection using companies like PayPal or a credit card, you’re not always guaranteed any refunds if the gown differs from the image used. Not forgetting second hand gowns that many brides list with exaggerations about the “perfect” condition of their worn wedding dress. Even dry cleaning won’t get all marks out, especially the train and under the hem which is usually verybadly stained.
If you have a tighter budget, it does not mean you should forgo the real bridal shopping experience or compromise on the quality of your gown. It is far better to fi nd one of the many new budget bridal shops that are beginning to spring up everywhere to cope with the demands of the bargain hunter. At least there you will be able to feel, see and try on any gowns that you like and prices are generally40-75% off the original price! However, make sure you do your research and check if the outlet or discount store you wish to visit is affi liated to a main stream bridal salon. These are the very best places to visit as you will be able to select from current season ex samples, cancelled brand new designer gowns and previous season styles all at amazing prices. You know they will also have great back up and good seamstresses if you need them should any problems occur.
When you visit your chosen salon, check that the designer label in the gown is intact as many factory type outlets buy
from charity shops or even purchase online themselves. These cheaper gowns are mixed in with just a handful of genuine designer labels that have often been purchased as ex samples from bridal salons up and down the country and are in an appalling state of wear and lacking the once perfect structure. Some stores have been caught lying about their stock to entice the brides in with promises of a 'brand new named label' at wildly cut prices. If they are not a genuine stockist of any named designer and using their images or brand name in their advertising or on their website, not only can they be given a hefty copyright fi ne from the designers themselves, but could be closed down by trading standards!
The opportunities for fi nding your dream dress at the most affordable price have never been brighter! The internet is a wonderful place to get inspiration but beware of the pitfalls and don’t get carried away by online prices versus shop prices when the reality of cost is most certainly refl ected in quality. Research the shops you wish to visit so you have a good idea of their gowns and services before you step foot through the door. If you fi nd the ideal gown within budget do not hesitate to put your deposit down before someone else takes the chance away from you and you have to start your search again.
Most importantly, happy dresshunting girls!

FURRER-JACOT, the exclusive wedding ring manufacturer from Schaffhausen, Switzerland has launched an exclusive range of wedding rings.
One ring – one statement, plus a confession: A confession about a unique love. People would not be doing justice to these rings if they referred to them as items of jewelry. On the contrary, they are little exclusive sculptures that have been lavishly crafted by hand. They formally take up a challenge, which for many couples seems indispensable: to be connected and to move together, living lives with common goals but individual paths.
The models from the 2014 collection are strong, individual pieces. They are not just for people who love design, but also for couple whose requirements for extravagance and exclusiveness are high. The designs are a cross-over from bridal jewellery to fashion and certainly are therefore also suitable as single design pieces of high-end jewellery.
Furrer-Jacot – exclusiveand flamboyant designs
Every Wedding Is Special......at Ardencote Manor we will ensure that your Wedding Day will be a day to treasure forever. You may choose from two stunning venues; The Manor House, constructed in the Victorian era and boasting the Palms Conservatory. Or The Lakeside with beautiful waterside views and licensed Outdoor Island. In 2015 we are offering all inclusive wedding packages starting from £4950! With exciting menus, new wines, and something for everyone to enjoy.

May The Best Man Win
After the bride’s dress, the best man’s speech is the most exciting and long-awaited part of any wedding day. These fi ve top tips will see any bloke right when it comes to doing a mate proud on his big day.
• Keep it (mostly) clean – even the palest blue jokes won’t necessarily transcend the generations.
• Remember to compliment the bride and her bridesmaids.• Make the happy couple the focus of the speech and don’t
use it as a platform to completely take the mickey out of the groom.
• Thank all the major players involved in making it such a special day.
• Whatever you say, make sure the bride’s mother is still speaking to you at the end!
But the biggest question on everyone’s lips is, how long will the speech actually last? The best man may be the kind of guy who relishes the fl oor and will have to be separated from the microphone after half an hour, or is he the shy type, all red face and sweaty palms, willing it to be over?
Sounds like it’s time to place a bet, but don’t wait for the day itself, use Tedbets, the UK’s only platform where friends can bet on anything. ‘I bet John’s best man speech will go past half an hour and he’ll have to be asked to wrap it up,’ or ‘Steve won’t last more than 10 minutes before his nerves get the better of him.’ You can really place any bet you like, the choices are endless, and make even the most bland wedding a little more fun.
Tedbets is the UK’s fi rst ever betting platform that allows players to bet on anything they want, from pop culture to movie trivia.
To fi nd out more, and to start Tedbetting, visit www.tedbets.com.

Aine arrived with her father in a Lincoln limousine, and the ceremony started on a panomaric terrasse. A pianist and violonist were there to play during the blessing. A photo shooting took place in the vineyard, in the privative cave and in the garden. The couple then joined their guests in the French Garden for cocktail. Later, dinner took place in the courtyard. Everybody ended up in the dancing room unitl late in the night. Aine's family have a property in Nice, so they knew very well the area, and wanted to get married there. From ceremony to dancing part, everything took place at Château de Crémat.
