It is truly special when we create an extraordinary day, for someone that we love. How fabulous is this tropical inspired hen’s day celebration? The girls from A Beautiful Occasion prepared an exotic oasis in their very own backyard for Sara’s sister Jess and entertained her guests with a Flower Crown Workshop on the day. To give these party girls a lively atmosphere, centrepieces included miniature pineapples topped with fresh flowers using energising colours. Lots of treats made the day totally sweet with Cookies by Crumb while pink flamingo paper straws gave their refreshing drinks, a funky touch. Amy Mahony made a splendid cake, Sara’s styling partner in crime. The stunning peacock chair was perfect for the girls to strike a pose with their freshly made flower crowns and get snapped by the photographer of the day, Muse Photography. Enjoy some inspiration!

A Beautiful Occasion created intimate chillout areas and rustic floral arrangements, as well as tasty decadent treats that campers love. Festival themed invitation and rustic chalk board signs by Papertales added a whimsical festival vibe.
The simple silk gown by Tegan Asha paired with Ethica jewellery contrasts the classic with the edgy. Hair and makeup looked fresh and timeless, styled by Makeup by Bonnie Lee.

Your guests will be amazed as you step onto the white sand with a backdrop
of clear aquamarine waters or a woodland fantasy dripping with fairy lights,
or perhaps an Arabian inspired white canopy like a mirage in the desert dunes.
Anything is possible with imagination, good styling, a fabulous wedding
co-ordinator and the stunning locations of Port Stephens.

If you dream of a wedding ceremony on the beach or in
a public reserve in Port Stephens, you will need a Council
permit. Bookings are for a maximum period of 2 hours
and for the ceremony only. Unfortunately no receptions
are permitted on Council managed land.
Bookings can be made by contacting the Port Stephens
Visitor Information Centre on 02 4980 6900 or visiting
the Council's website at www.portstephens.nsw.gov.au
to download the application form. Once your form is
submitted with administration fee, confirmation of
permit is provided within 7 working days.
We have lovely weather here in Port Stephens but we are
blessed with rain too, so it’s always a good idea to have a wet
weather backup if you’re planning to get married outdoors.
There are many reception venues that offer a ceremony
location within the property and a wet weather alternative.

A romantic journey awaits on-board with Moonshadow-TQC
Cruises. Smell the fresh salty air and embrace the serene
vibes of the sea, voyaging on one of the largest and most
prestigious vessels in the port ‘Hinchinbrook Explorer’.
It didn’t take much for local wedding suppliers to
jump on board to showcase this timeless vessel.
This lovely local couple was made even more beautiful
with amazing braided hair and makeup by Fresh Salon.
Sparkling jewellery from Else and Me glistened with
rose gold and pearls, the oceans prized treasures.
The bride’s dress by White Meadow Bridal that exudes
elegance and class, was captured by Jessie D Images,
while James from Anchored Cinema, recorded some of
the more quirky and special moments in motion.
To take on a contemporary, tropical inspired theme,
XS For Events styled a refreshments table with pineapples
and coconuts to set the tone of this styled shoot.
Earthy signage by Papertales listed some cocktail
classics that complimented floral design by
The Florist and Wedding Specialist, perfectly.

Sara and Dean�s wedding wonderfully showcases

location. On a perfect February day, Sara and her
bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready at
Oaks Pacific Blue Resort. Celebrant Marsha Wright,
from Cherished Moments, married Sara and Dean
in an intimate ceremony at Inner Lighthouse,
Nelson Bay where stunning water views made for a
sparkling backdrop that delighted guests.

With the warmth of the sun and sand in mind, this styled
shoot exudes romance and wild beauty. Our free-spirited
horse with greenery crown by Poppies of the Bay captured all
of the magic and essence of this shoot. Poppies of the Bay’s
pretty florals were perfectly on palette, inspired by shades of
blues like the sea. The fine delicate details of this gown from
Belles and Beaux added a touch of wistfulness. Models stayed
fresh faced with natural makeup and hair in an unswept style
by Lisa Single.

This dreamy beach elopement at Birubi Beach celebrates
style in a totally personal way by creating the perfect intimate
ceremony and tablescape for two. The beautiful gown, with
Tilly top and Natasha skirt, designed by Karen Willis Holmes
with jewellery and head piece by Belles and Beaux added
all the glamorous features. With earthy driftwood pieces,
hand-dyed textiles and tall lit candles, Opulent Events
crafted a dreamy lounge with a magical atmosphere and

All the way from Dubai
ANCHORAGE PORT STEPHENS

For Anastasia and Ryan, getting married was all about
sharing their special moment with family. Having lived in
Dubai for eight years, Ryan’s parents suggested Anchorage
Port Stephens as the perfect place to host their destination
wedding. Guests travelled from Dubai, Russia, Sydney,
Melbourne, Canberra, country Victoria and far south-east
New South Wales. Many arrived on the weekend to be
relaxed for a Monday wedding.
Anastasia and Ryan live in the modern desert city, Dubai
which has no shortage of glitz. Ryan wanted to surprise her,
and share his love of the Australian bushland and Port
Stephens was the perfect combination of beautiful beaches,
bush land and spectacular natural cliffs. Growing up, Ryan’s
family always hosted family celebrations on trestle tables at
their home surrounded by trees, with exceptionally good food
and in a relaxed atmosphere and he wished to recreate the
same ambiance for their wedding day.
Leaving it to the local suppliers to create the magic,
Muse Photography captured this humble day, rich with love
and beautifully styled by A Beautiful Occasion. Anastasia
looked radiant with hair and makeup by Empire Artistries
while I Do Wedding Cakes made a splendid cake. To see
Anastasia walk down the grassy aisle on the arm of Ryan’s
92 year old grandfather was the highlight of the day.
