Port Stephens or otherwise known as the ‘Blue Water Paradise’ – is a wonderland for boating enthusiasts, fishing fanatics, bush walkers, scuba divers – anyone just wanting to get away from it all.

The Port is two and a half times the volume of Sydney Harbour with its pristine, unpolluted waters, bright sandy beaches, resident bottle nose dolphins and short drives to the many smaller towns around the region, there is always something for everyone.

A popular attraction of the Port is the Tomaree Headland - the most popular bush walking track in the area which was established during World War II as part of the defence system for the East Coast of Australia between 1941 - 1943. Once at the summit you will have the most magnificent views of the Port and surrounding islands, perhaps even spotting a humpback whale on their annual migration from May to October.

Stockton Sand Dunes are another prominent attraction of the area which must be seen to be believed. The contrast between the ocean and the 40 meter high sand peaks are definitely a sight to behold.

welcome to blue water paradise

This vast area is ideal for quad biking and 4WD enthusiasts, or for those who want to take a more conservative approach, enjoy a camel or horse ride in and around the dunes or along the water’s edge. Try sand boarding down the dunes - it’s fun for everyone.

The Port is supplied with it’s own fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables, locally made small goods as well as flavoursome pickles, sauces and preservatives which are found locally from our monthly markets within the area. This wealth of regional produce features in the vast array of Port Stephens restaurants with their creative menus, exquisite water views and amazing dining experiences.

You will want to keep coming back time and time again. Port Stephens is a perfect place to holiday, relax and enjoy the sunshine and calm.
