One of the most important Filipino people who

have made a very significant contribution in our

country is Hon. Elpidio Quirino, also the sixth

president of the Republic of the Philippines.

The impact that Hon. Elpidio Quirino made on

the lives of his countrymen being the president, a

lawyer and a senator was so valuable and compelling

that President Benigno S Aquino III declared his

125thbirthday, November 16, 2015 as the President

Elpidio Quirino Day.

This was made possible through the Proclamation No. 967 and Deped

Memorandum No. 146, 2. 2014.

To highlight this years commemoration, the biography of Hon. Elpidio

Quirino including his Filipino values worthy of emulation were discussed in

Araling Panlipunan from Gr. I VI.

Some classroom activities done by the teachers in primary and

intermediate level were the following: group reporting, story-telling, Pinoy-

Henyo watching videos of his life and accomplishments, role-playing and essay-

writing.

The SPG officers also conducted an information campaign in each

classroom regarding the significance of November 16, 2015 and some of the

most important accomplishments of Hon. Elpidio Quirino.

The celebration of the 125th Birth Anniversary of President Elpidio

Quirino was so meaningful and educational to SES family. His values and

significant accomplishments have become an inspiration not only to the pupils

but to the teachers as well.
