HENRY VIII He was born 28th June

1492.Henry VIII: Henry was an English Monarch. He was married with her brother’s widow: Catherine, but he divorced. He started his reign in 1509. Henry wanted to annul his marriage but Pope didn’t allow and he broke with the Church in Rome and became the head of the Church in England in May 1532. He died in 1503.

Meg is Anne’s servant and her only friend.

She was loyal and faithful to Anne during her life.

ANNE BOLEYNAnne Boleyn is the most

important character in the book. She lived all of her life in Heaver Castle, her jobs were lady-in-waiting and 25th January 1533 he married with Henry. She promised a son but she had a daughter Elizabeth and Henry beheaded her 19 th May 1536. Their marriage during 3 years.

In May 1532 Henry became the head of the Church in England and create the Anglicanism.

Everybody thought Anne was the guilty of the changes. This is very imortant for England because Elizabeth I continues with it.

Many boys still went to chantey schools. However after the religious changes of the 1540 the chantey schools were closed. However many rich men founded grammar school

STYLE People thought the clothes you

wore were relationed with you and your social position. Middle- class merchants didn’t wear luxurious fabrics only nobles can wear them.

Cloth of gold or silver and purple silk were restricted to women with the rank of countess or higher. No woman was allowed to wear fabrics embroidered with silk, pearls, gold or silver except baroness an those of higher rank .

Enforcement of these laws was lax but heavy fines could be extracted from those caught in violation.
