Counselling is a talking therapy where a trained counsellor helps people to confront and overcome issues and

widely recognised, and counsellors are employed by the NHS, schools and colleges, and businesses. There is also a large and growing private-practice sector, with individual counsellors running their own consultancies. The College currently runs a short, part time introduction to counselling skills to help prospective counsellors consider the subject for a career, or as part of their work. Moray is a largely rural community, and the land is a place of work for people right across Scotland. Our introductory Rural Skills National 4 course follows the horticulture route but may touch on everything from estate management, agriculture, forestry and conservation work. Meanwhile our Horticulture courses have a practical focus, with most work taking place at the Biblical Garden beside the iconic Elgin Cathedral.

Graduates have found work with local businesses and private gardens across the North East of Scotland as well as national organisations like the BBC and the National Trust for Scotland.
