of the needs of the managers in the organization.

• MIS aids in integrating the information generated by

various departments of the organization.

MIS as a system can be broken down into subsystems. Each such sub system may be programmed.

and collects, stores, modifies and retrieves all

information about transactions in an

organization.

• A transaction here is referred to any event

that generates or modifies the already stored

information.

online. In batch mode, the files are updatedperiodically ,In online mode, each transaction isrecorded as it occurs.
