our homeWemovedintoourhomein2018.Itisinaquieturbansuburbneighborhood.Ourhomeisafour-bedroom,two-and-a-half-bathroomhouselocatedonthecorneroftheblock.Jenniferlovestodecorate,andhasremodeledanddecoratedourhometofeelverywarmandwelcoming.Mattenjoysworkinginyardandonthelandscape.Ourneighborhoodisveryfriendly,withneighborswavingandsayinghiwhenevertheyseeyou.Thereisaparkverycloseby(withinashortwalkingdistance).Ourhomeisclosetomajorshoppingcenters,grocerystores,churches,firestations,andhospitals.Theschooldistricthashighratingsandisoneofthebestinthestate.Wehaveafencedinyardfor

ourtwodogstorunaround,aswellasforourfuturechildtoplay,andanicepatiothatMattlikestogrillouton,nomattertheweather.

our dogs Wehave2dogs,LaylaandXena,bothminiaturedachshunds.Theyareverymuchmembersofourfamily.Bothgirlsaresweetandlovingwhomliketolayonyourlapandcuddle.LaylaandXenaaregreatwithournieceandnephews.Thegirlslovetoplayandtakewalks,andwecannotwaitforourfuturechildtobecometheirfriendandplaymate.

our familyWebothcomefromaveryloving,caringandsupportivefamilies.Ourfamilieshavebeenextremelysupportiveofourdecisiontoexpandourfamilywithadoption.Jennifercomesfromabigextendedfamilyandhascloserelationshipswithmanyofthem.Matthasasister,whoismarriedandhasthreechildren,son,daughter,andastep-daughter.Jenniferhasasister,whohasayoungboy,andabrother,whoismarriedwithababyboy.Religionwasverymuchapartofbothofourupbringing,andcontinuestobe.Wehavecloserelationshipswithourfamilies,andwearealwaysgettingtogetherwiththemfordifferentholidays,reunions,specialoccasions,andjusttogettogethermakingnewmemories.

why adoptionWe have always wanted to become parents, however natural conception has been

difficult and may not be God’s plan for us. After multiple miscarriages and unsuccessful infertility

treatments, we decided to focus our energy on adoption. We discussed the option of adoption early

on in our struggles with natural conception. With the support of our family and friends, as well as

our strong faith in God, we know that this is the right decision for us. We are looking forward to

becoming parents, and to be able to adopt a child and grow our family.
