ONE BORN EVERY MINUTE
A British observational documentary series showing the
everyday life of labour ward workers.
Shots used in the filming are widely fixed-camera observation
shots, such as this one showing the scan of a pregnant woman.
ONE BORN EVERY MINUTE
One born every minute uses a fixed camera observational style,
but that is not something I would really be interested in using in
my documentary as I don’t like the observational style and do not
feel like it would appeal to my demographic.
However, I can understand how this style would work effectively
for scenes located on the inside of a building and need to record
24 hours a day without the use of camera crew.
24 HOURS IN A&E
Fully narrated throughout
Single strand documentary
Camera is hidden and not addressed directly by participants so people act normal
around it.
Camera shots used are Long shot, close up, medium close up for when people are
partaking in interviews.
There is a voice over narrating the show and the sound so machines typically fund in
hospitals. Patients crying and phones ringing. People talking in the background on the
phones.
24 HOURS IN A&E
There is not much editing throughout this documentary series,
the only graphic used is the opening title of “24 hours in A&E”
which immediately cuts away and shows the start of the opening
scene.
