Congratulations to Matthew DelVecchio!!!
Matt was selected to participate in the prestigious 2013 Frances Hesselbein Student Leadership Program at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Student to
Student members from all over the world applied to attend this leadership training and only 10 were
selected. Matt was the only student selected from Texas!
This one week intensive leadership training focus on nurturing and developing leadership skills, patriotism,
commitment to selfless service, intellectual and problem-solving capacity.
Stacey is very proud of Matt’s accomplishments and his dedication to the s2s program.
The program was named for Ms. Frances Hesselbein, in
recognition of her dedication to the development of children and youth. Under the direction of the MCEC, and following the
inspiration and guidance of Ms. Hesselbein, this one-week program will deliver intensive training, interaction with positive
role models, and practical applications which benefit participants in their studies and throughout their lifetimes. First offered at the United States Military Academy at West
Point in 2007, the Frances Hesselbein Student Leadership Program takes a unique, fun and hands-on approach to learning
outside the classroom — and students leave with a greater appreciation for school and their studies.
