Manage documents in IBM Connections with the IBM Connections app is limited to reading the files, share a file with other communities and delete files. It is not possible to add new files, while this is what you want when you are on the road or working from home, so your community has access to up-to-date information at any time. With the Readdle Documents app (suitable for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch), combined with File Jockey, you can upload multiple files directly to any location you have access to in IBM Connections. The same is applicable for IBM Lotus Quickr and Lotus Domino. To show you how this solution works, we’ve installed File Jockey onto one of our own cloud servers… so you can use it with the IBM Greenhouse environment and your mobile device. This service for free and you don’t have to sign up to anything or create an account. (You just need a free IBM Greenhouse account if you don't have one.) Start with implementing Readdle Documents:

Each file you now modify or create (for example view a website and turn it into a PDF) is automatically uploaded to the location that is enabled for two-way synchronization. Enjoy!

File Jockey is the missing link between mobile device and IBM. We have written several other manuals in using apps combined with File Jockey and IBM Connections and Quickr.

More details about the File Jockey software can be found on http://www.file-jockey.com
