ON THE
POT HOLE CLAIMS
ELLIOTT TOWNSHIP
LARDER LAKE MINING DIVISION
DISTRICT OF COCHRANE, ONTARIO
INTRODUCTION
There are two unpatented mining claims in the group. Claim L-802699 and L-802700. These claims are located in Elliott Township. The claim No. L-802699 is the claim in this survey.
In June, 1996, an east/west baseline was established. The baseline was turned off the number l corner post,(L-802699) for 1,200 feet going west to the number 4 corner post of claim L-802699.
Picket lines were turned off at every 200 feet, 180 degrees south and stations were cut out and measured every 100 feet.
Line cutting was performed by A J Perron Gold Corporation.
The Magnetometer survey was performed by Miss Wendy K. Weller. The electromagnetic survey was performed by Miss Wendy K. Weller.
All drafting and contouring and report writing was done by Miss Wendy K. Weller.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The two claims that make up the Pot Hole Claim Group are found along the township line of Thackeray and Elliott Townships. (Claim No. L-802699 is along the township line and claim no. L-802700 is joined at the number l post of claim L-802699 and the no. 3 post of claim no. L-802700).
The Pot Hole Claims are in the Larder Lake Mining Division, and they are within the jurisdiction of the Kirkland Lake Resident Geologist. Access is from Kirkland Lake towards the east for 13 kilo meters to the Harker-Access road (Highway #672). North on Highway 672 for approximately 28 kilometers and then east approximately 6 kilo meters on forest access roads going through Elliott and Thackeray Townships. (See Figures la) and Ib).

TOPOGRAPHY
The general terrain of the property consists of flat ground with some wet and dry areas. The claim group is situated on a large flat esker, with re-planted jack pine as the main vegetation.
GENERAL GEOLOGY
The underlying bedrock of Thackeray and Elliott Townships are of the Archean age belonging to the Abitibi greenstone belt of the Superior Province.
The bedrock is primarily volcanic rocks, the main type beinga magnesium rich tholeiitic suite, consisting of flows and tuffs.Lying between these lava flows are interflow sedimentary bands.
The Abitibi greenstone belt is part of a large synclinorium which trends east-west. The Destor-Porcupine fault occurs on the northern edge and the Kirkland-Larder Lake Break occurs on the southern edge. (See Table l Page 2a).
The Perrex property is crossed in a northeast southwest direction by the Ghostmount fault and sedimentary horizon and by the Cryderman sedimentary horizon. Both horizons run parallel to each other along the strike of the underlying bedrock.
1996 - POT HOLE MAGNETOMETER AND ELECTROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
a) McPharJBPSl Proton Magnetometer
This system uses a backward motion of spinning protons of a hydrogen atom within fluid of hydrogen and carbon. These spinning magnetic protons are caused to have two opposite poles by applying a magnetic field using a current within a coil of wire. When the current is stopped, the protons precess about the earth's magnetic field and in turn generate a small current in the wire. The frequency is proportional to the earth's total magnetic field.
The instrument used for this survey was a McPhar GP-81 Proton Magnetometer. More information about the survey and ins trument can be found on the Technical Data form found in the back of this report.
b) Geonics EM-16
The VLF-EM method uses as a source, one of the main sub marine communication transmitters in the 15 to 25 kHz band found

throughout the world.
VLF instruments are capable of picking up these structures that change the direction of the waves by using the tilt angle of the major axis of the polarization ellipse. The direction of tilt indicates the direction of the conductor.
The VLF easily illustrates the location of the upper limit of dipping structures which can be seen or plotted as VLF profiles as areas of greatest change in tilt angle per unit of distance.
The instrument used in this survey was a Geonics EM-16.
The one station used was Cutler, Maine, 24.0 kHz. More information about the survey and instrument can be found on the Technical Data Form found in the back of this report.
OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS
i) Electromagnetic Survey:
The field data from this survey shows 2 possible VLF-EM conductors.
01 Conductor - Found on picket lines PL1 500 south and PL2 300 south. The conductor is going in a northeast direction. The topography is the south side of a small glacial esker, with jack pine replant. There is no outcrop present.
02 Conductor - Found along the southeast corner of the claim,on picket lines PL3, PL4 and PL5. The topography is flat, jack pine replant area. The vlf contact is in a northeast direction.
i i) Magnetic Survey:The magnetic relief ranged from a low 57,651 gammas to
a high of 58,262 gammas. The magnetic trend is going in a north east direction. The one high relief was found in the northwest corner of the claim.
The area of the magnetic high crosses the north side of a gentle sloping glacial esker, covered in jack pine replant.
There was not a great difference in the magnetic reliefin this survey. The area was mapped in July 13, 1985, by M.Mahood-Greer as magnesium rich tholeiitic basalt.
-4-
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Due to the overburden and no exposed outcrop, it is diffi cult to present a clear picture of the underlying geology.
The two VLF conductors found appear to strike across the trend of the geology as illustrated by the isomagnetic contours.
Due to the claim being part of the Munro Esker System, possibly a horizontal loop survey should be run to help identify the vlf contacts.
Respectfully submitted,
June 30, 1996 Miss Wendy K. Weller
