For youngsters interested in match competition shooting, it all starts with Daisy’s 5-meter BB gun shooting education program. Working with premier conservation, civic and religious organizations nationwide, Daisy has developed the curriculum and the products to teach shooting safety and marksmanship skills to hundreds of thousand of young people annually.

5-meter match competitors compete not just locally but at the state level in order to qualify to shoot at the U.S. National BB Gun Championship, sponsored by Daisy. The “Daisy Nationals” is the nation’s largest and longest continuously-running BB gun competition. This year’s U.S. National BB Gun Championship will be held in Rogers, Arkansas, home of Daisy Outdoor Products and the Daisy Airgun Museum.

Young people competing in 10-meter sporter three-position rifle or pistol matches can earn college scholarships or even a position on the team which represents our nation at World Cup and the Olympic Games.The road to the “Daisy Nationals”, to a college scholarship or to international competition begins with the right equipment, the right curriculum and dedicated coaches. The commitment is great but so are the rewards. The Daisy “Passport Program” offers the junior shooter an opportunity to receive recognition for marksmanship performance. Program Information

Education. Instruction. Competition.The American Legion, the National Rifle Association (NRA), the National Guard Youth Marksmanship Program and Daisy have teamed together to make instruction materials and equipment available. This cooperative effort introduces thousands of young people to the shooting sports at more than 16,000 American Legion Posts nationwide. Thanks to their pinpoint accuracy, Avanti’s .177 caliber (4.5 mm) Legend 853, Legend EX 853C, 888 Medalist and 887 Gold Medalist are the air rifles most often used in this exciting program. Skills learned there may carry these young shooters on to competitive programs at the local, state and national level.
