January 2013 Dear mission partners, Happy New Year! May you start 2013 with great expectations and may it be a blessed year for you and your family. All of our centre staff and volunteers entered the New Year with a grand finale of two backtoback gospel camps themed “Only Jesus”. More than 150 people were counting down to 2013 together and some of them went on stage to recount God’s blessings during the camp. This has been a COCM tradition of celebrating New Year for the past 9 years. Once again, God has accomplished mighty work in these two camps through us. I am grateful to God for another shortterm mission team with more than 40 members from USA and Canada com ing to serve with us, many of them had been here to support us in previous years. I am also touched by the commitment of our centre staff, volunteers and small group leaders. Last but not least, my most heartfelt gratitude goes to all the campers. These camps would not be the same if the campers had not opened their hearts to share their laughter and tears with us. Looking back, I’m especially encouraged to see a generation of young leaders rising up to the challenge. Nearly 50 children aged 4 – 18 attended the Christmas Family Camp, and it was the biggest children’s group we had had since our first family camp in 2008. Praise the Lord that a team of 10 children’s workers, 7 of them young people in their twenties, were able to provide a great programme with activities catered to three different age groups. The young people worked hard to plan in advance and poured out their hearts ministering to the younger children as well as the older teens. In the student camp, young missionary workers and leaders from various student fellowships also played key roles in presenting the gospel message with power and passion. It has always been my prayer that God would raise a generation of young and committed Christians to become future leaders. I thank God for the signs of promise when I see some young people seriously seeking God’s guidance for fulltime ministry while others serving in the leadership team of their local churches and fellow ships. May God provide for them spiritually and financially. As a mission, our ministry extends beyond the boundary of frontline evangelism carried out by our missionary workers. Over the years, our supporting staff team has been doing ministry work behind the scenes. The Living Water Magazine was first published in 1975 with a vision to bring the gospel through literature to the Chinese Diaspora scattered in Europe. For many years, the magazine reached Chinese people in remote places where there is no Chinese church or fellowship. Many came to know Jesus Christ through this ministry. By faith, we continue to offer free subscriptions of Living Water magazine to all overseas Chinese upon request. Likewise, the Living Water Bookroom is a ministry that seeks to use literature as a channel to share God’s lifechanging truth with believers and seekers in Europe. It has been sustained by the mission’s investment of financial and human resources over the years. Currently, we are facing challenges of shortage in manpower and financial support. We earnestly look to God for provision in every way so that we can maintain these ministries and continue to bring spiritual food to the less reached Chinese people. We treasure your prayers and financial support for the coming year. May the name of Jesus Christ be lifted high in Europe and all the earth in 2013. Serving together in Christ, Rev. Henry Lu General Director

January  2013    Dear  mission  partners,    Happy  New  Year!  May  you  start  2013  with  great  expectations  and  may  it  be  a  blessed  year  for  you  and  your  family.      All  of  our  centre   staff  and  volunteers  entered   the  New  Year  with  a  grand   finale  of   two  back-‐to-‐back  gospel  camps  themed  “Only  Jesus”. I  am  grateful  to  God  for  another  short-‐term  mission  team  with  more  than  40  members  from  USA  and  Canada  com-‐ing  to  serve  with  us,  many  of  them  had  been  here  to  support  us  in  previous  years. I   thank  God   for   the  signs  of  promise  when   I   see  some  young  people  seriously  seeking  God’s  guidance  for  full-‐time  ministry  while  others  serving  in  the  leadership  team  of  their  local  churches  and  fellow-‐ships. Likewise,  the  Living  Water  Bookroom  is  a  ministry  that  seeks  to  use  literature  as  a  channel  to  share  God’s  life-‐changing  truth  with  believers  and  seekers  in  Europe.
