GENERAL NOTES:
1. THE PROPOSED STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION PROJECT WILL INVOLVE THE RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF APPROXIMATELY 252 LINEAR FEET OF DEGRADED INTERMITTENT STREAM AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF 0.28 ACRE OF EMERGENT WETLAND.
2. ELEVATIONS ON THE PLAN SET ARE BASED ON A SITE TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY IN NAVD88 US FEET. ELEVATIONS OUTSIDE THE PROJECT BOUNDARIES ARE DERIVED FROM A STATEWIDE LiDAR SURVEY AND ARE PROVIDED FOR REFERENCE ONLY. RIVERRIDGE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (RIVER RIDGE) WILL PROVIDE THE SURVEY DATA AND CONSTRUCTION PLANS TO THE CHOSEN CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION TO BE USED FOR CONSTRUCTION STAKING.
3. THE EROSION PREVENTION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL (EPSC) PLAN (SHEET 11) AND STORMWATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN (SWPPP) (SHEET 12) SHALL BE IMPLEMENTED PRIOR TO ANY LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITY ON THE PROJECT SITES.
4. ACCESS TO THE SITES WILL BE OBTAINED VIA A STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE AS SHOWN ON THE EPSC PLAN (SHEET 11). ALL HAULING AND CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC SHOULD BE LIMITED TO THE SPECIFIED CONSTRUCTION HAUL ROUTES UNLESSOTHERWISE APPROVED BY A RIVER RIDGE REPRESENTATIVE. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THE HAUL ROUTES ARE RESTORED AS IDENTIFIED IN CONSTRUCTION PLANS.
5. THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF EROSION CONTROLS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL EROSION CONTROL REGULATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING ALL PERTINENTREGULATIONS.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MINIMIZING THE TRACKING OF MUD AND SOIL FROM CONSTRUCTION AREAS ONTO THE SITE ACCESS ROAD AND ADJACENT PUBLIC ROADWAYS. SOIL TRACKED ONTO THE ADJACENT PUBLIC ROADWAY SHALLBE REMOVED DAILY. THE CONTRACTOR IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING DRAINAGE SYSTEMS FREE OF DIRT AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS.
7. ALL CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES SHALL BE MAINTAINED TO PREVENT OIL, FUEL, OR LUBRICANT FROM LEAKING INTO STREAMS, WETLANDS, DRAINAGE SYSTEMS, OR ON THE GROUND.
8. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR ANY DAMAGED ITEMS THAT OCCUR DURING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING FENCING, ROADS, SIDEWALKS, ASPHALT TRAILS, CURBS, UTILITIES, ETC. AT NO COST TO THE CLIENT.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE UTILITY PROTECTION CENTER INDIANA 811 (TOLL FREE NO. 1-800-382-5544) A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY ON THIS PROJECT.
10. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO ANY UTILITY SERVICE LINE AT NO COST TO RIVER RIDGE.
11.PRIOR TO COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE ALL REQUIRED PERMITS AND APPROVALS HAVE BEEN OBTAINED AND ARE PROPERLY DISPLAYED AND/OR MADE READILY AVAILABLE AT THE CONSTRUCTION SITE.
12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MARK THE PROPOSED STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION ACTIVITIES IN THE FIELD FOR APPROVAL BY A RIVER RIDGE REPRESENTATIVE AND THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
13. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CLEARING AND GRUBBING ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO IMPLEMENT THE PROPOSED STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION ACTIVITIES AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS. EXISTING TREES SHALL BE REMOVED ONLY ASINDICATED ON THE PLANS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS AND SHALL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO CLEAR THE MINIMUM AREA NEEDED TO CONDUCT THE STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATIONACTIVITIES PER THE PLANS.
14.EXCAVATION AND DISPOSAL OF MATERIALS SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS, CODES AND ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS. EXCAVATED SOIL MATERIAL WILL BE UTILIZED TO ACHIEVE FINAL GRADESELSEWHERE WITHIN THE SITE. ONCE FINAL GRADES HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED, THE REMAINING SOIL MATERIAL SHALL BE SPREAD EVENLY WITHIN THE DESIGNATED AREA ON SITE TO A DEPTH OF APPROXIMATELY ONE FOOT AND STABILIZED PER THE PLANTINGPLAN (SHEET 10) AND EPSC PLAN (SHEET 11).
15. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDITIONS OF THE JOB SITE, INCLUDING SAFETY OF ALL PERSONS AND PROPERTY DURING CONSTRUCTION.
16. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL AND MAINTAIN BARRIERS OR OTHER PROTECTION MEASURES TO PREVENT VEHICULAR AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC FROM ENTERING THE CONSTRUCTION AREAS.
17. THE CONTRACTOR MUST NOTIFY A RIVER RIDGE REPRESENTATIVE AND THE ENGINEER A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OF ANY BOULDER/IN-STREAM STRUCTURES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MARK THE LOCATIONS OF ANY PROPOSEDSTRUCTURES IN THE FIELD FOR APPROVAL BY THE ENGINEER PRIOR TO INITIATING CONSTRUCTION OF THE STRUCTURE. DEPENDING ON SPECIFIC SITE CONDITIONS, SOME MODIFICATION TO THE STRUCTURES MAY BE REQUIRED, WHICH MUST BEAPPROVED BY THE ENGINEER AND A RIVER RIDGE REPRESENTATIVE.
18. AREAS USED FOR CONSTRUCTION STAGING AND ACCESS SHALL BE RETURNED TO ORIGINAL CONDITIONS UPON COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
19. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT THE PROPOSED STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WIDTH AND DEPTH DIMENSIONS PROVIDED IN THE STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION PLANVIEW, LONGITUDINAL PROFILE,CROSS SECTION, AND DETAIL SHEETS (SHEETS 3 THROUGH 9). CONSTRUCTED BOULDER/IN-STREAM STRUCTURES MUST BE WITHIN ONE-TENTH OF A FOOT OF THE DESIGNATED ELEVATIONS IN THE PLANS.
20.ONCE THE STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS, THE DISTURBED GROUND SURFACES WILL BE RESTORED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSED PLANTING PLAN (SHEET 10).
21. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ONLY PERFORM STREAM MITIGATION ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING ALL GRADING, BANK STABILIZATION, AND BOULDER/IN-STREAM STRUCTURES ON A SECTION OF STREAM THAT CAN BE ENTIRELY COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE LIKELIHOODOF A RAIN OCCURRENCE. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT EXCEED THREE DAYS BEFORE SEEDING, MULCHING AND BLANKETING DISTURBED AREAS ALONG THE STREAM MITIGATION REACH AND WETLAND MITIGATION AREA. SHOULD THE CHANCE OF RAIN BEPRESENT, THE CONTRACTOR WILL SEED, MULCH, AND BLANKET THE STREAM MITIGATION REACH AND WETLAND MITIGATION MORE FREQUENTLY.
22. WHERE CONSTRUCTION OR LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE OF THE MITIGATION AREAS WILL OR HAVE BEEN TEMPORARILY CEASED ON A PORTION OF THE SITE, TEMPORARY STABILIZATION MEASURES SHALL BE REQUIRED AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE,BUT NO LATER THAN 14 DAYS AFTER ACTIVITIES HAVE CEASED. THESE MEASURES SHOULD INCLUDE SEEDING OF ANNUAL COVER AND MULCHING THE DISTURBED AREAS WITH CLEAN STRAW.
23. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVAL OF SILT FENCING, EXCLUSION FENCING, AND EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ONCE THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AREAS ARE STABILIZED AND SEEDING/MULCHING OF ALL DISTURBED AREAS ISCOMPLETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS.
CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE:
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT THE STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS. ANY DEVIATION FROM PLANS MUST BE APPROVED BY A REPRESENTATIVE OF RIVER RIDGE.
2. ELEVATIONS ON THE PLAN SET ARE BASED ON A SITE TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY IN NAVD88 US FEET. THE CLIENT WILL PROVIDE THE SURVEY DATA TO THE CHOSEN CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
3. IDENTIFY THE PROJECT BOUNDARIES, EXISTING TREES TO BE REMOVED (TBR), AND LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE WITH A RIVER RIDGE REPRESENTATIVE.
4. INSTALL STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE AND PREPARE STAGING AREAS AND HAUL ROUTES PER THE EPSC PLAN (SHEET 11). FORMER FIFTH STREET IS TO BE USED FOR GAINING ACCESS TO THE STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATIONSITES. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IDENTIFYING AND GAINING PROPER APPROVALS FOR ESTABLISHING AN ACCESS TO THE PROJECT SITE FROM THE ADJACENT PUBLIC ROAD.
5. INSTALL AND MAINTAIN THE EROSION CONTROL MEASURES IN ACCORDANCE WITH EPSC PLAN (SHEET 11).
6. CLEAR AREAS WITHIN PROPOSED STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION AREAS AS NEEDED WITHIN LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE TO CONSTRUCT THE PROPOSED STREAM MITIGATION ACTIVITIES, ADJACENT STREAM GRADING, AND WETLANDMITIGATION ACTIVITIES. DOWNED TREES AND SHRUBS MAY BE CHIPPED UP AND SPREAD THINLY (MAXIMUM THICKNESS OF ONE-HALF INCH) WITHIN THE ADJACENT RIPARIAN AREA AND USED AS MULCH OR HAULED AND DISPOSED OFF-SITEIN AN APPROVED MANNER. AFTER REACHING ONE-HALF AN INCH OF WOOD CHIPS WITHIN THE STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION AREAS. ALL REMAINING WOODY MATERIALS ARE TO BE HAULED AND DISPOSED OF OFF-SITE IN ANAPPROVED MANNER.
7. ONCE THE SPECIFIED EPSC MEASURES ARE INSTALLED, THE CONTRACTOR MAY BEGIN EXCAVATING ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE WETLAND MITIGATION AREA. BEFORE CONSTRUCTION OF THE EMERGENT WETLAND MAY COMMENCE, THEPROPOSED EARTHEN BERM AND VEGETATED OUTLET MUST FIRST BE CONSTRUCTED. THE CONTRACTOR MUST FIRST STRIP THE TOPSOIL FOR LATER PLACEMENT WITHIN THE WETLAND AREA. THE CONTRACTOR WILL THEN BEGIN TOEXCAVATE THE WETLAND MITIGATION AREA UTILIZING THE FIRST EXCAVATED MATERIAL TO CONSTRUCT THE DIVERSION DIKE IN THE WESTERN PART OF THE SITE. THE DIVERSION DIKE WILL FUNCTION AS A SEDIMENT TRAP TO HELP FILTERANY COLLECTED SEDIMENT-LADEN WATER FROM THE SITE INTO THE VEGETATED SWALE. SEDIMENT-LADEN WATER SHALL BE PUMPED THROUGH AN APPROVED SEDIMENT TRAPPING DEVICE.
8. ONCE THE EARTHEN BERM IS CONSTRUCTED, THE TOP, OUTLET, AND SIDE SLOPES OF THE EARTHEN BERM WILL BE SEEDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH WITH THE PROPOSED PLANTING PLAN (SHEET 10). AFTER THE EARTHEN BERM ISCONSTRUCTED AND STABILIZED THE CONTRACTOR CAN EXCAVATE THE REMAINING SOILS FOR THE PROPOSED WETLAND ESTABLISHMENT.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT THE PROPOSED EMERGENT WETLAND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WIDTH AND DEPTH DIMENSIONS BY STATION RANGES PROVIDED IN THE WETLAND GRADING PLAN AND SECTIONS (SHEETS 5 THROUGH8). DURING GRADING, CONTRACTOR SHALL ALLOW FOR PLACEMENT OF FOUR TO SIX INCHES OF TOPSOIL WITHIN AND ALONG THE PROPOSED WETLAND MITIGATION AREA, SLOPE EMBANKMENT, AND EARTHEN BERM. FINAL GRADE SHALLBE WITHIN TWO-TENTHS OF A FOOT OF THE DESIGNATED ELEVATIONS IN THE PLANS.
10. ALL DISTURBED SOILS WILL BE GRADED AND STABILIZED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PERMANENT STABILIZATION WILL OCCUR WITHIN 14 DAYS OF REACHING FINAL GRADS. WHERE CONSTRUCTION OR LAND-DISTURBING ACTIVITY WILL OR HASTEMPORARILY CEASED ON ANY PORTION OF THE SITE, TEMPORARY SITE STABILIZATION MEASURES SHALL BE REQUIRED AS SOON AS PRACTICAL, BUT NO LATER THAN 14 CALENDAR DAYS AFTER THE ACTIVITY HAS CEASED.
11. ONCE THE WETLAND MITIGATION ACTIVITIES HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS, THE DISTURBED GROUND SURFACES WILL BE SEEDED AND STRAW MULCHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSED PLANTINGPLAN (SHEET 10).
12. ALL STREAM CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES SHALL TAKE PLACE IN DRY OR LOW FLOW CONDITIONS. IF WATER IS PRESENT IN THE STREAM REACH UNDER CONSTRUCTION, CONTRACTOR SHALL UTILIZE PUMP AROUND OPERATIONS INACCORDANCE WITH DETAILS 39 and 59.
13. BEGIN CONSTRUCTION OF THE STREAM MITIGATION ACTIVITIES AT THE MOST UPSTREAM END OF THE STREAM RE-ESTABLISHMENT REACH AND WORK DOWNSTREAM. GRADE THE STREAM CHANNEL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANFORM,LONGITUDINAL PROFILE, AND CROSS SECTIONS SHEETS (SHEETS 3 AND 4). THE SUBGRADE SURFACES OF AREAS TO RECEIVE FILL SHALL BE COMPACTED UTILIZING CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT SUCH AS EXCAVATOR OR DOZER WITH AMINIMUM OF FOUR PASSES. SOIL FILL SHALL BE PLACED IN LOOSE LIFTS NOT EXCEEDING 12-INCHES AND THEN COMPACTED WITH AN EXCAVATOR OR A DOZER TO 85% TO 90% OF STANDARD PROCTOR DENSITY. CARE SHOULD BE TAKENTO NOT OVER COMPACT THE SOILS (> 90% STANDARD PROCTOR DENSITY), WHICH MAY PROHIBIT TREE AND SHRUB GROWTH. DURING GRADING, CONTRACTOR SHALL ALLOW FOR PLACEMENT OF THREE TO FOUR INCHES OF TOPSOILALONG THE STREAM MITIGATION REACH TO ACHIEVE PROPOSED FINAL GRADES. MAINTAIN WELL DRAINED EMBANKMENT AND EXCAVATION TO PREVENT PONDING AND SOFTENING OF SOILS.
14. LAYOUT AND CONSTRUCT EACH IN-STREAM STRUCTURE PER THE PLANFORM, LONGITUDINAL PROFILE, CROSS SECTIONS, AND DETAILS SHOWN IN THE PLANS (SHEETS 3, 4, AND 9, RESPECTIVELY). CONSTRUCTED STRUCTURES MUST BEWITHIN ONE-TENTH OF A FOOT OF THE DESIGNATED DESIGN ELEVATIONS. RIFFLE STRUCTURES MUST MAINTAIN A POSITIVE SLOPE FROM THE HEAD OF THE RIFFLE (UPSTREAM) TO THE END OF THE RIFFLE (DOWNSTREAM).
15. SEED AND MULCH ALL DISTURBED AREAS AND BLANKET STREAMBANKS AFTER COMPLETION OF STREAM MITIGATION ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSED PLANTING PLAN AND EPSC PLAN (SHEETS 10 AND 11, RESPECTIVELY).PREPARE THE PLANTING SURFACE BY LOOSENING THE TOP LAYER OF SOIL. APPLY AND SEED AND STRAW IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSED PLANTING PLAN (SHEET 10). THEN INSTALL THE SPECIFIED EROSION CONTROL BLANKET INACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS AND DETAILS.
16. CONTRACTOR SHALL ONLY PERFORM STREAM MITIGATION ACTIVITIES ON A SECTION OF STREAM THAT CAN BE ENTIRELY COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE LIKELIHOOD OF RAIN OCCURRENCE. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT EXCEED THREE DAYSBEFORE SEEDING, MULCHING, AND BLANKETING DISTURBED AREAS ALONG THE STREAM MITIGATION REACH AND WETLAND AREA. 17. PLANT TREES WITHIN THE STREAM MITIGATION RIPARIAN CORRIDOR IN FIRST DORMANT SEASON (LATE NOVEMBER TO LATE FEBRUARY) FOLLOWING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSED PLANTING PLAN(SHEET 10).
18. REMOVE ALL WASTE GENERATED AND MATERIALS NOT UTILIZED FOR THE MITIGATION ACTIVITIES FROM THE PROJECT SITE. RESTORE ALL STAGING, STOCKPILE AND HAUL ROADS TO THEIR ORIGINAL APPEARANCE OR BETTER. SEED ANDMULCH ALL DISTURBED AREAS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSED PLANTING PLAN (SHEET 10).

STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION PLANTING NOTES:

EPSC PLAN GENERAL NOTES:
GENERAL EROSION PREVENTION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL NOTES:

EPSC PLAN PHASING:
ALL EPSC BMPS SHALL BE INSTALLED, INSPECTED, AND MAINTAINED PER THE PLAN. THE EPSC INSTALLATION PHASING IS AS FOLLOWS:
1. PRIOR TO COMMENCING MITIGATION ACTIVITIES, THE STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE (SCE) SHALL BE INSTALLED. THE STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE SHALL BE INSTALLED, INSPECTED, ANDMAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH STANDARD DRAWING AND SPECIFICATIONS (DETAIL 10
11) AND THE SWPPP (SHEET 12). ANY DIRT OR MUD TRACKED ON TO PUBLIC ROADWAYS ADJACENT TO THE PROJECT SITE SHALLBE CLEANED UP DAILY.
2. PRIOR TO ANY LAND-DISTURBING ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE STREAM AND WETLAND MITIGATION AREAS, SILT FENCING 1 AND 2 (SF1 AND SF2) AND SF3 THROUGH SF5, RESPECTIVELY, SHALL BE INSTALLED, INSPECTED,AND MAINTAINED PER THE PLAN, DETAIL 11
11, AND THE SWPPP (SHEET 12).
3. ANY TEMPORARY SOIL STOCKPILES CREATED AS PART OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT SHALL BE PROPERLY PROTECTED AGAINST SOIL EROSION BY SILT FENCING, TEMPORARY SEED, AND MULCH PER THE PLAN.
4. THE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES SHALL BE CONDUCTED TO MINIMIZE THE EXTENT OF DISTURBED SOILS EXPOSED AT ANY ONE TIME AND THE LENGTH OF SOIL EXPOSURE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ONLY PERFORMCONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES ON A SECTION OF STREAM OR WETLAND THAT CAN BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE LIKELIHOOD OF RAIN OCCURRENCES. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT EXCEED THREE DAYS BEFORE SEEDINGAND STRAW MULCHING DISTURBED AREAS. SHOULD THE CHANCED OF RAIN BE PRESENT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SEED AND STRAW MULCH MORE FREQUENTLY.
5. ONCE THE EPSC MEASURES ARE INSTALLED, THE CONTRACTOR MAY BEGIN EXCAVATING THE PROPOSED EMERGENT WETLAND. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIRST STRIP THE TOP SOIL FOR LATER PLACEMENT WITHINTHE WETLAND AREA.
6. THE CONTRACTOR WILL THEN BEGIN TO EXCAVATE THE WETLAND AREA UTILIZING THE FIRST EXCAVATED MATERIAL TO CONSTRUCT THE EARTHEN BERM IN THE WESTERN PART OF THE SITE. ONCE THE BERM ISCONSTRUCTED, THE TOP, OUTLET, AND WESTERN FACE OF THE BERM WILL BE SEEDED WITH THE WETLAND RIPARIAN SEED AND COVERED WITH SC150BN EROSION CONTROL BLANKET IN ACCORDANCE WITH DETAIL911.
7. AFTER THE EARTHEN BERM IS CONSTRUCTED AND STABILIZED THE CONTRACTOR CAN EXCAVATE THE REMAINING SOILS FOR THE PROPOSED EMERGENT WETLAND AREA. THE EARTHEN BERM WILL FUNCTION AS ASEDIMENT TRAP TO HELP FILTER ANY COLLECTED SEDIMENT-LADEN WATER FROM THE SITE. SEDIMENT-LADEN WATER SHALL BE PUMPED THROUGH AN APPROVED SEDIMENT TRAPPING DEVICE (DETAIL 59 OR ANAPPROVED EQUIVALENT).
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT CONDUCT ANY STREAM CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES IN FLOWING WATER. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN FLOW DIVERSION INCLUDING A PUMP AROUND SYSTEM ASSHOWN IN DETAIL 39. ANY COLLECTED SEDIMENT-LADEN WATER SHALL BE PUMPED THROUGH A SEDIMENT FILTERING DEVICE SUCH AS A FILTER BAG PROVIDED AS DETAIL 59.
9. ALL DISTURBED SOILS WILL BE GRADED AND STABILIZED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PERMANENT STABILIZATION WILL OCCUR WITHIN THREE DAYS OF REACHING FINAL GRADE PER THE PLANTING PLAN (SHEET 10).WHERE CONSTRUCTION OR LAND-DISTURBING ACTIVITY WILL OR HAS TEMPORARILY CEASED ON ANY PORTION OF THE SITE, TEMPORARY SITE STABILIZATION MEASURES SHALL BE REQUIRED AS SOON AS PRACTICAL,BUT NO LATER THAN 14 CALENDAR DAYS AFTER THE ACTIVITY HAS CEASED PER THE PLAN.
10.THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL ADDITIONAL EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES NOT SHOWN ON THESE PLANS AS NECESSARY TO CONTROL SEDIMENT.
11.ONCE CONSTRUCTION HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND THE SITE STABILIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE PLANS AND APPROVED BY RIVER RIDGE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND THE ENGINEER. THE CONTRACTORSHALL REMOVE ALL EPSC MEASURES AND STABILIZE ALL AREAS DISTURBED BY EPSC MEASURES.

· MAINTENANCE OF ALL IMPLEMENTED BMP'S WILL BE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE PLANS. THE MAINTENANCE PRACTICES THAT WILLBE USED TO MAINTAIN THE IMPLEMENTED EPSC MEASURES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

·· INSPECT STABILIZED CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE DAILY. RE-DRESS TOP AGGREGATE WITH CLEAN STONE, AS NEEDED. IMMEDIATELYREMOVE ANY MUD OR DIRT TRACKED ONTO PUBLIC ROADWAYS. RESHAPE ENTRANCE PAD, AS NEEDED, FOR DRAINAGE AND RUNOFFCONTROL.
·· SILT FENCE WILL BE INSPECTED FOR BY-PASSING, OVERTOPPING, UNDERCUTTING, TEARS, ATTACHMENT TO SUPPORT POSTS, AND DEPTHOF SEDIMENT BUILD UP. BY-PASSING, IF IDENTIFIED, WILL BE REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY. SEDIMENT WILL BE REMOVED FROM BEHIND SILTFENCE BEFORE IT REACHES ONE-HALF THE HEIGHT OF THE SILT FENCE.
·· INSPECT ACCESS ROADS AND PATHS DAILY. IMMEDIATELY REMOVE ANY MUD OR DIRT TRACKED ONTO THE ACCESS ROADS, FORMERFIFTH STREET, AND/OR ADJACENT PUBLIC ROADWAYS (JACOBS WAY).
