2012 - FORMS FOR CONSULTATION PURPOSES

The form is being designed to be completed by schools (Leadership and Board) and discussed with Senior Advisers at local offices of MOE and includes a section on school wide needs and a section on teacher (syndicate / dept) needs.

The key thing for teachers involved in Learning Languages is to be talking to their school leaders about how PLD for them is identified in the teacher needs section.

Where teachers are already receiving support and that support is continuing next year it is important that this is flagged on the request form

A critical factor in identifying future needs will be the strategic section of a school’s charter where it is expected that schools will be able to signal a plan for school wide PLD and for specific Learning Area PLD over the years of their strategic plan i.e it is planned for PLD based on identifiable needs and not just responding to what might be available.
