Welcome to the month of June! Our school year is coming to a close this month. For parents, students, and teachers, it has been a journey filled with joy, laughter, friendship, and growth. Indeed, June is a month of new beginnings and bittersweet farewells. Many students are making the transition to different classrooms and meeting new friends. On Friday, June 2nd, will be our preschool and kindergarten graduation day and some children in Room 1-3 will be moving up or transitioning to another classroom the following week. As students traverse to the next chapter of their Montessori journey, they will continue to build and strengthen friendships and keep growing socially and academically. Congratulations to all! We will begin the summer curriculum this June 12th about “The Solar System” and “The Presidents of the USA”. Last month, we celebrated the spirit of motherhood and this month, we welcome all fathers to join us for Father’s Day Breakfast on Friday, June 16th from 8:00-10:00AM.

This is a special time for our students to wrap up the school year with a celebration party with their classmates and teachers. Learn and Play Montessori School will be providing traditional madeleine cookies for the children’s morning snack. Please let the front desk know if you do not want your child to participate in the celebration or have any madeleines. [Raisin Cookies: Sugar, Butter, vanilla, Flour (unbleached wheat flour, malted barley flour)] They will also be receiving their memory book for the school year of 2016-2017. This is a special time for their friends and teachers. Parents will have the opportunity to view all the pictures in this event on Facebook. Parents are NOT required to attend for this event.

Our 2017 Preschoolers and Kindergarteners are graduating! Please note that transitional kindergarteners do not meet the requirement for graduation this year. We follow the district cut-off date of Sept 1st. Parents and families are welcome to come. Please be extra cautious when parking in the parking lot and on the side streets. We want to remind parents please NOT to park in 7-Eleven parking lot nor in our neighborhood/residential areas. The diploma/certificates will be available for parents to pick up in the front office.

Our Summer Curriculum consists of ten

weeks’ worth of fun learning. This summer,

we will be focusing on “The Solar System”

and “The Presidents of the USA”.

Summer will be hot but shoes and socks will

still be required for school as it is for the

safety of your child. We will be providing lots

of water to keep our busy kids hydrated

throughout the summer, so no need to

worry! If you are planning a summer

vacation, please make sure to inform the

front desk. If you are simply withdrawing-

meaning you are not paying for the time-

frame away from school - please provide the

school with a 30-day notice to avoid any

additional charges.

Parents who paid the annual material fee at this time last year, the annual material fee will again be applied to your tuition for renewal. This material fee will be spent on art supplies, copies, booklets, events and much more. Please be advised that Annual Material is non-refundable and will not be prorated.

Preschool - $150.00

Kindergarten - $300.00

Please be extra cautious and courteous to other drivers when parking, backing up, etc. Please maintain a slow speed when

driving through the parking lot.

DO NOT allow children

to run in the parking lot and please make

sure to hold your child’s hand in the

parking lot at all times.

As summer begins in the month of June, please take note to apply sunscreen to your child before coming to his/her classroom.

Medicines, sunscreens, lip balms, lotions and similar items are considered medication and must be in its original form/box and container. All items must have an expiration date and must be given authorization before administering. Please make sure to sign authorization form and medicine log. Label the medication with your child’s name. Please see front desk for more information.
