Greetings families and welcome to the month of December!

This is the last month of the year and a very busy month at

that. Some of you might be planning for winter vacations while

others might be planning for shopping and family get-

togethers and we at Learn and Play Montessori will be

preparing for our Winter Concert and working on other

enjoyable winter projects.

In the month of November, the curriculum that we mainly

focused on was:

Geography: United States

Landforms: Peninsula and Gulf.

Zoology: North American animals and amphibians

Botany: Structure of roots

During the month of December we will focus on:

Geography: Antarctica

Landforms: Glaciers and Icebergs

Zoology: Animals native to Antarctica and Reptiles

Botany: Structure of stems

A warm thank you to all our parents who participated in the

Thanksgiving Luncheon. Thank you for all of the beautiful

pictures and yummy food!

Christmas Concert Friday, December 12, 2014

The Winter Concert will take place on

December 12th at 10:00 A.M. in our school parking lot.

All classrooms will participate, and parents are welcome

to join us. As our parking lot will be used for the Winter

Concert, please plan to arrive early to drop off your child

on time.

Please be advised that all children must be on-time and

should arrive at school by 9:00 am to prepare for the

concert.

Parents who choose to take their children home

immediately after the event, MUST notify the teachers

and the front desk administrators. Please make sure you

are signing your child out to avoid any confusion. Again,

this is for the safety of the children. Please allow the

child to enter their classroom so teachers can take

roll call and ensure that all children are accounted

for.

Please Note: In the event of rain or severe weather,

we will move the event venue indoors.

Thank you to parents for coming to Observation and Parent/Teacher Conferences .

In November we had Observations, followed by our Parent-Teacher conference.

During Observations, we had the pleasure of welcoming parents to their childs classroom where they were able to get

a glimpse of the Montessori environment and also be a part of their childs Montessori Activity Period .

During our Parent-Teacher Conference, parents were provided with valuable feedback regarding their childs progress

in school.

We look forward to our continued partnership throughout the rest of the year.

Facility will be CLOSED on Wednesday, December 24th to Friday, January 2nd for

winter break.

School will resume on Monday, January 5 th 2015.
