IBD’s Market Team scans all of our proprietary stock lists, screens and fea-

tures to find stocks with the most potential for big gains and analyzes them

through their entire run. They point out chart patterns, buy points, add on op-

portunities, sell signals and the right time to take profits.

Most stocks on the Leaders List will appear before they break out, so you have

time to add the stocks to your watch list and monitor them closely.

1 The overview at the top of the list is updated throughout the day and high-

lights notable price action among the leaders and stocks added or dropped

from the Leaders List.

2 Leaders List stocks that are currently within a proper buying range are

listed first, so you’ll want to check these out right away. Listed next are lead-

ers that recently broke out, are currently forming new bases, trading in tight

areas, or displaying other leadership qualities.

3 Check out the brief analysis for each stock on the list. IBD’s Market Team

discusses potential buy points, secondary buy points, chart patterns, and

important fundamental factors. Key data is in bold to help you quickly spot

actionable information.

4 Along with the analysis, a mini chart for each company is displayed that

gives you a quick overview of the stock’s price action. You’ll want to click

through to view a large Leaderboard Chart (discussed on pages 8-9) and the

actionable notes from IBD’s market writers.

5 If you’re a data guru, click on “Go To Data View” which presents the stocks

in a sortable table (see below). With this view, stocks may be sorted by many

indicators, including IBD’s proprietary ratings, fundamental data, price, and

more.

The Leaders List is the homepage of Leaderboard.®

Leaderboard® uses proven sell signals to make selling decisions easier.

When leading stocks show topping action, signs of weakness or trigger sell

rules, they move from the Leaders List to the Cut List.

Like the Leaders List, you’ll want to start by reading the brief commentary at

the top of the page. You’ll get a good overview of the stocks that are on

the Cut List and will be alerted to any new additions to the list.

For each stock on the Cut List, you’ll see analysis of the company’s funda-

mentals as well as commentary on the stock’s technical action. Cut List stocks

are trending downwards and showing signs of weakness.

In addition to the analysis, you’ll

want to click on the mini chart to

view a large Leaderboard Chart

with annotations on the com-

pany’s price action. Experts will

point out sell signals such as dips

below moving averages on huge

volume, violation of IBD’s 8% sell

rule, climax runs, and other sell

indicators.

Shorting Opportunities

In addition to former Leaders List stocks that were moved to the Cut List,

you’ll also see other stocks displaying weakness that could become short-

sale candidates during a market downturn or bear market. The chart com-

mentary will point out possible short-sale areas and 20%-25% profit ranges.

Get valuable updates on market action and Leaderboardstock action every Monday and Wednesday.

You’ll also receive Leaderboard alerts when stocks are added/removed from the Leaders List. New Leaders addi-tions give you the chart pattern and buy point of each stock. And Cut List additions give you stocks that are showing weakness — this is the final warning to lock-in profits and protect against losses.

Leaderboard® Charts

Leaderboard ® charts are annotated and up-dated throughout the day by IBD’s Market Team. Chart notes are based on the key rules of IBD’s CAN SLIM® Investing System.

1 Expert annotations

Leaderboard Charts show you chart patterns, buy points, secondary buy points, areas of support & resistance, ranges to take 20% - 25% profits, and sell signals. To make key trading data easy to spot, buy signals are in blue and sell signals are in red. All other chart annotation is in black.

2 IBD Stock Checklist

Right on the chart, you’ll see 29 key fundamental data points with easy pass/neutral/fail indicators.

3 Daily, weekly, monthly and intraday charts

Daily charts give you actionable analysis to help you with buying and selling decisions. And weekly charts also show you base counts and the date the stock was added to Leaderboard.

4 Moving average lines

Leaderboard Charts give you 10-day, 50-day, & 200-day moving average lines, plus the Relative Strength line. These are important tools in determining the strength of the stock, buy points, areas of resistance and support, and buying ranges.

5 Interactive Tools

Use the arrows to quickly and easily browse through all of the charts in the Leaders and Cut Lists. Here, you can also use the icons to add a stock to your

watch list, get an IBD Stock Checkup,® read IBD articles about the stock, or print the chart.

Be sure to read The Big Picture since it has helped subscribers take advantage of uptrends and avoid big losses when the market starts correcting.

Daily Big Picture:The Big Picture gives you an overview of market conditions and price action of leading stocks. For a quick summary, check out Market Pulse.

Intraday UpdatesIBD’s Market Team discusses action among stocks leading the market, and key economic news throughout the day. An indexed list of stocks referenced in the updates appears to the right for easy access to IBD Leaderboard charts.

Weekly Big Picture:The Weekly Big Picture is great for the busy investor. It gives you an overview of market ac-tion for the week, including insight into the key drivers behind the current market outlook.

IBD makes trading in sync with the market quick and easy with 3 possible direc-tions for the market. You can always find the market direction in The Big Picture, plus, in Leaderboard we point it out on every page.

You’ll see one of three directions:

Confirmed Uptrend: The market is trending upwards. This is the time to buy quality stocks at proper buy points.

Uptrend Under Pressure: Be cautious about buying, and you can use this time to take some profits and raise some cash.

Market in Correction: The market is in a downtrend and this is not a good time to be buying stocks. However, it’s a great time to build a watch list so you’re ready to take action when a new uptrend begins.

Leaderboard gives you a fully interactive version of IBD’s popular stock list: IBD® 50.

In Leaderboard, the list appears as 2 sections, Top 10 and Full List. The

Top 10 is similar to the Leaders and Cut Lists; you can view the list in a

chart/analysis view or the data table view.

For each of the stocks in the IBD 50 Top 10, you’ll see the same up-to-date

analysis you get in the Leaders List and Cut List. You can also click on mini

charts for an oversized Leaderboard Chart with actionable commentary.

The full IBD 50 List appears in Leaderboard as an easy-to-use interactive table.

You can sort by price, earnings, and sales data as well as IBD’s proprietary

ratings.

You can view big Leaderboard Charts with the IBD Stock Checklist for every

stock in the IBD 50. The entire IBD 50, including the Top 10, is updated every

day, giving you the most up-to-date ranking available.

IBD’s Market Conditions

The Stock Spotlight is a daily list of 16 stocks exhibiting traits of past market winners.

To be featured on the list, stocks must pass a tight,

proprietary screen. Most stocks have a Composite

Rating of 90 or above ranking them among the very

best fundamental performers in the market. Often

you’ll find emerging leaders here, while they are still

in their bases.

Like the other lists featured in Leaderboard, you want

to start by reading the analysis on top to get a quick idea of the activity on

the list.

Leaderboard displays the Stock Spotlight list in an easy-to-use, interactive

table. You’ll see all of IBD’s proprietary ratings for every company on the list.

You can click on the column heading for more fundamental data like earnings,

sales, and profit margin information.

You can also hover over each symbol for a mini chart, the composite rating

and more information on the company. To view a full screen Leaderboard

Chart, just click on the mini chart.

This list highlights the IBD Sector LeadersTM from the NYSE + Nasdaq Smart Tables in IBD® and displays them in an easy-to-use table. IBD Sector Leaders has tripled the performance of the S&P 500 during 2014 (YTD as of 9/30/2014).

This screen highlights stocks in the strongest sectors showing superior earn-ings, sales and ROE combined with market-leading price performance. Basi-cally, the top stocks in the top sectors.

Be sure to read the overview at the top of the list which gives you a quick take of activity on the list.

Start by quickly glancing at the market direction arrow to make sure you are trading in sync with the market.

Read the brief analysis located on top of the Leaders List to learn about new additions or deletions to the list, and key action among leading stocks.

Scan through “Leaders Near a Buy Point” section to see if any stocks are in buying range. The bold copy in the written analysis points out action-able data. Then, check out the rest of the Leaders, since they soon may offer an entry point.

Next, browse through Leaderboard Charts to view expert commentary. Buy points are listed in blue, sell signals in red, and other chart notes in black.

Then, review the stocks on the Cut List. Stocks that are flashing sell signals move from the Leaders List to the Cut List. In a market downtrend or bear market, start your routine here, since this is where you’ll find pos-sible shorting opportunities.
