Angus Frewen Angus is a polite and friendly student who always greets his school mates and teachers with a happy smile. He gets along well with people of all ages. Angus has very good work habits. He enjoys learning new things and sharing his ideas with others. Angus is a keen participant in all class activities. He particularly enjoys discussions. He likes to make connections between class topics and his personal experiences. Angus is a wonderful classroom helper who shows initiative when a job needs to be done. He takes pride in maintaining a clean and tidy room and is always willing to assist others carry out their duties. Angus is a kind and caring boy who always offer assistance when someone needs help. He encourages others to do their best and congratulates them on their success. Angus is a good role model for his peers. He thoroughly deserves this recognition as Student of the Month. !!Brock Hyson Brock is a thoughtful and respectful young man, who is always willing to help teachers, visitors and younger students in the school. He has shown greater confidence in his ability and is keen to do his best and share his ideas with others in class. Brock is an excellent school leader as a Year 6 SRC Representative, House Captain and Sound System Technician in the hall. He is a positive role model at work and at play. Brock has been complemented by many teachers within the school on his positive approach, and helpful friendly disposition. !Our students enjoyed the latest SRC disco with the Easter theme. Wonderful dancing, coupled with lots of sweaty bodies, was present indicating a great time being had by all. Thank you Mrs Ward for your meticulous organisation and to the teachers

who assisted in the set up and supervision of the disco. !Our P&C has another evening organised for our students with a Movie Night next Thursday from 6pm. Students are encouraged to come dressed in BLUE, similar to the characters in the movie. I wonder who they might be? Look out for the flyer in the coming days!

!For more information and photos of our events, please check out our Facebook page. It is updated on a daily basis with photos of our students in day-to-day activities as well as special events. It is also used a means of communication about upcoming events. !Congratulations to Erica-Lee Eyles and Robert Hazard of Mrs Morrish’s 2M class. Both Erica-Lee and Robert take part in the MiniLit program with Mrs Chegwyn. As Robert informed me, they worked so hard that they were on fire! Mrs Chegwyn was immensely proud of her students. Keep up the great work team! !

Congratulations to Megan Johnson of Year 4 who was selected for the North West PSSA Girls Football (soccer) team. Megan will compete at the PSSA Championships in Albury in June. Good luck Megan! !

This week it was lovely to see so many families taking the opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher for Parent Teacher Interviews. Our process is the same as last year with interviews scheduled over two weeks between 4 and 6pm to cater for families and their increasing demands. For our K/1 students, appointment times were increased from 2 – 6pm over the two weeks. This was so both Miss Magann and Mrs Lawrence were present at all student interviews. I am pleased to say that the majority of time slots were filled. This is an important indicator when looking at our communication with our families and community. As a school, we delight in meeting with our families. It enables great insight into our students and allows parents the opportunity to get to know the teachers and
