DIRECTORs’ GREETINGDear Friends & Supporters,

Welcome and thank you for coming to the 4th Annual Kollabora on DC Talent Compe on and Showcase! It has been said that some mes a good song can change the world and create posi ve energy more than any poli cal ac on; I hope many of the songs and performances tonight will do that in your personal world as well as the world at-large. Both Marvin and I are pleased and blessed to be at the helm of a 4+ year old organiza on here in the DMV, which is striving every day to elevate the young people in tri-state area by providing access and opportuni es for them to perform and reach their full poten al as members of the Asian American community…and beyond!

With our passion and the execu on of our 4th year show, we are plugged into a na onal network of the Kollabora on movement with 14 ci es which include not only DC but LA, NY, SF, ATL, Sea le, Boston, Chicago, Honolulu, East Lansing, Dallas, Houston, Tulsa, and Toronto. This allows for a wide variety of resources to help us provide more role models, more performance opportuni es, and more development. And along with those parents who see the value of cul va ng the arts just as much as academics, we are having a direct impact on their future each and every day that the young people are exposed to our mission.

However, we have recognized that we can’t do it alone! It indeed takes all the members of each of these communi es including our staff , parents, mentors, volunteers and the considerate sponsors who can see the value of what we have to off er, in order to make the kind of diff erence that leads to las ng change, inspired mo va on, and growth to become pillars and leaders in their community.

Thus, by YOU being here at our show, your ongoing support and generosity will allow us to con nue delivering the avenues that mean so much to the younger genera on of dancers, singers, and performers of our Asian American community. We pride ourselves on being one of the best channels of truly “empowering” young minds day a er day and year a er year. Though I am confi dent that you will enjoy our show, please consider how you may get involved today in helping us to fulfi ll our mission by bringing addi onal resources to Kollabora on DC…we are more than just a talent compe on, we are the heart of a community and that community is about “kollabora ng” for a be er world.

Warmest regards,Chris an Oh, Execu ve DirectorMarvin Yueh, Assistant Director
