The final selection of 15 participants will be very difficult to make due to the high calibre of businesses we met, and the entrepreneurs' levels of dedication and involvement.”

The vision session was the

first time that the SAB Foundation and Fetola representatives met with the hopefulMpumalanga business applicants. Successful applicants will continue on with the two-year training and mentoring process and also be eligible for seed capital of up to R250 000 for their business growth and development.

Bridget Evans, the Manager of the SAB Foundation was excited with the outcome of the workshop, and had the following to say:

“The Mpumalanga and Limpopo application process began in April and drew to a close in June. Next, we will call for applications from KZN and Free State, with 60 businesses in total being selected for the newly implemented Tholoana programme across those four provinces. So far, we are very excited at the quality and diversity of the applications received. ”

The Vision Session Workshop took place at Nelspruit's Bundu Lodge. The participants who attended were excited about the opportunity, and it showed in their engagement with the material and participation during the knowledge-sharing session.

The diverse group of attendees included the youth, women and even the elderly, and they represented differing industries from clothing and textiles to tourism, agriculture, construction, IT and manufacturing.

The workshop not only assisted entrepreneurs with the setting of a business vision but also focused on the entrepreneur's

personal vision and left the entrepreneurs not only motivated but also inspired.

The feedback received from business participants who attended was positive and inspiring. Entrepreneur Marks Monareng, of Mango Consultants had the following to say regarding the support and assistance provided by workshop staff: “We received great

support in all corners, this looks like a really exciting programme.”

Overall the workshop was a success and even load shedding couldn't dampen the high spirits and enthusiasm.

SAB Foundation's programme coordinator, Mariska Henning believed the workshop ended on a high note and had this to say:“The level of talent and

innovation we saw in Mpumalanga is remarkable. The SAB Foundation is proud and honoured to be part of a process that grows South African businesses. We are very pleased with the businesses we met in Mpumalanga, and we look forward to interacting with more bright entrepreneurs in Limpopo, KwaZulu Natal and Free State.”

hy is it that we always worry about what Wpeople say instead of

trying to do what God says. Our God is a faithful,

loving and he cares so much for us yet we do not realise it.

As I work alot with people I noticed alot of people are insecure with themselves, with the way they look because they want to be approved by people.

People who are not happy with themselves are always trying to make other people uncomfortable, they want to find mistakes on other people forgetting that it will not change them.

e will be with you. He won't abandon you or Hleave you. So don't be

afraid or terrified.”What do you do when you want to do something, but aren't completely sure? Who do you speak to for guidance or confirmation? Fear is the reason why many of us are still living average lives. We would rather play it safe, than to step out in Faith and live a radical and victorious life.

We normally ask ourselves when is it the right time to venture out and do things we've never done before. Know that when God is leading you to do something, that becomes your green light to do things.

Themba Ngomane likes saying that, "Time unmasks all blessings." and that's true! Time

tell us and we start judging ourselves from what they have said about us.You are the image of God. You are beautiful stop looking down at yourself. Stop undermining who you are. Learn to love yourself so that even when people say things you do not like about yourself, you cannot feel small about it, there are things you can never change, like your family, there are some parts of your body you cannot change but you just have to love them.

reveals things, and faith becomes the action we take once those things have been revealed to us. We often pray to God for signs or confirmations about stepping out in Faith. Truth is, most of the time we will have uncertainty. But the peace and wisdom of God will lead you to walk on the right path and to do the right thing. You just need to trust the One who says He will always be there for you.

God is pleased when we take steps of faith. Once you take a step of faith, He will continue to lead and guide you. Don't be afraid of moving. Once you move forward, you make room to learn and that leads to growth.

What's your investment for? o you want to save so that you have some protection in Da crisis or do you want to

save for a child's education or for retirement? All of these mean saving over different periods of time and could mean different types of investments.

If you have a crisis (for example, a car accident, a car accident, your geyser bursts or a medical crisis) then you'll have to able to get your money quickly to cover immediate costs while you wait for insurers -- and even then there may be a shortfall. Only a limited range of investments are suitable for emergency funds.

At the other extreme, saving in a retirement annuity has tax benefits for many of us but ties your money up until you are at least 55.

But saving for your 8-year-old child's university education, you know that you have about 10 years before you need the money so you can tie up your money for longer. An investment dominated by shares listed on the JSE would suit the time frame very well. Saving for a really great holiday or for a deposit for a home -- all are appropriate goals for JSE investments.

Money you absolutely have to have in two years' time? You might want to consider other options. Most people, I think, are eager to get to stock market investing so we will detour round the short-term and medium-term investments and find a way to get back to them a little later.

Investing in shares is for the long term. It is wise to say to yourself before you invest in the

JSE: “I can afford to leave this money to grow for about five years. At least.” Why so long? Because the more time you allow the investment to grow, the less risk there is that you will lose money.

One of my favourite commentators on investing is Danie Wessels. (He is a partner with financial advice company Martin Eksteen Jordaan Wessels in Cape Town). Mr Wessels says stock market returns do not build up steadily. Returns are mainly the result of short bursts of large gains and losses in share prices.

He found this out by studying every trading day on the JSE between July 1995 and March 2009. Mr Wessels found that the 20 worst trading days (the days with the biggest fall in share prices) and the 20 best trading days took place at more or less at the same time. A

large loss, he says, was typically followed by an equally large gain.

So based on the performance of the JSE in the past 20 years, large falls in value are not to be feared because they are quickly followed by recovery. But after a fall it takes longer to get back to where you

60 Years Of The Freedom CharterNo Cause to celebrate for the Working Class

he pleasure of being in South Africa, the rainbow nation on Twenty Sixth TJune twenty Fifteen makes a mark for

The Freedom Charter when it celebrates sixty years for the working class.

The Freedom Charter it is a landmark document in the struggle for liberation in South Africa after being adopted by the Congress of The people led by the African National Congress (ANC) in Kliptown on 26th June 1955.

From its inception especially during the 1980's the demand of the

freedom Charter became a rallying point for many in the struggle against apartheid. In particular, for revolutionary militants from all parts of the liberation movement, the Charter has consistently been at the centre of key theoretical and political debates.

In short this publication titled The Freedom Charter as adopted at the Congress of The people, Kliptown 26th June 19551.The People Shall Govern!2.All National Groups Shall Have Equal Rights3.The People Shall Share in the Country's Wealth!4.The Land Shall be Shared Among Those Who Work It!5.All Shall be Equal Before the Law!6.All Shall Enjoy Equal Human Rights!7.There Shall be Work and Security!8.The Doors of Learning and Culture Shall be Opened!9.There Shall be Houses, Security and

Comfort!10.There Shall be peace and Friendship! These Freedoms we will Fight for, Side by Side, throughout our lives, until we have won our liberty

This publication is rich in formation about South Africa's current reality in relations to the major demands of political and Socio-Economic life captured by the freedom Charter. It is a useful resources to inform current debates about a future path for working class liberation from poverty and oppression. We call on all to use it for this purpose, especially through organized collective study for developing a mass based working class leadership to contribute towards ensuring, “an informed, organized and mobilesed working class acting in its own interest” (WWMP Mission Statement)

Across the length and breath of the country, almost every leaflet issued or poster mounted boldly carried this slogan.

This information was compiled by Khanyisa Media House from the Freedom Charter publication, to inform the readers, youth/ students as our job isto educate.
