Headteacher’s Appeals

Appeals will only be made where the children have missed out narrowly by one or two marks

or if a child has significantly

underachieved in the test and the school has plenty of evidence to support their appeal.

It is possible to edit the online form up until the deadline

Put at least 3 schools on the form (maximum of 4) in rank order or preference

If your child was not entered for or did not pass the Grammar Test but you still feel a Grammar place is the best place for them, put a Grammar School on the form. A Grammar School place won’t be awarded on 1st March but you will have the right to appeal

Supplementary Information Form (SIF)

Westlands and Fulston Manor require you to complete an additional form.

These forms are available from the school’s themselves.

Offers sent to parents on:

1st March 2016 (via e-mail after 4pm)

2nd March 2016 (via letter first class) Secondary schools will send out welcome

letters to parents. Remember to return paperwork.

17th March: Waiting list requests to schools and deadline for places to be accepted or refused.

Appeals lodged up until 13th April 2016 April to June 2016 Appeals held

WAITING LISTS

Waiting lists have now replaced re-allocation.

Schools will hold waiting lists prioritised in accordance with their subscription criteria.

Grammar schools can only put pupils on the waiting list who have passed the Kent test.
