Backpack Buddies - KBC is starting a “Backpack Buddies” ministry at Knightdale

a hungry child through the weekend who might not otherwise get a meal until they
return to school again on Monday morning. Please help us with this ministry by
contributing food items to help a hungry child in our town. Large, clear plastic bins will
be located in the Vestibule, Education Bldg., Fellowship Hall and outside the elevator in
the Family Life Center to place your food donations. Please see a list of items that can be
donated on the reverse side of the Food Pantry insert in today’s bulletin.
Plastic Bags Needed - We are also collecting plastic bags for delivering the food that
will be put into their backpacks. Please donate your untorn plastic bags for this purpose.
You will find green plastic bins located next to the food bins to place your donated
plastic bags. For those of you who use coupons, there are pink plastic boxes in many S.S.
classes that can store your collected coupons for placement into a black and white
“Master Coupon Box” located in the Education Building. These coupons can be used by
anyone for purchasing items for the “Backpack Buddies” program. Thank you!

CHURCH COVENANT
In response to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, I have confessed my sin and accepted Jesus Christ, Son of the one true God, as my Redeemer and Lord. As a member of the body of Christ, I covenant with this Church to faithfully endeavor to respond to Christ’s command that “ye love one another.” In that spirit I will pray without ceasing, remembering my fellow Christians, and those who are lost, sick, in distress, needy and bereaved. I will present myself as a willing instrument of the Lord to be used in ministry for those for whom I pray. I will gather faithfully for the collective worship and praise of God, to study scripture and fellowship with this body of Christ. I will strive to discover, develop and utilize the gifts with which I have been endowed by the Holy Spirit for the edification of His church. I will further continue my support of this Church with the dedication of my time, talents, tithes and offerings. In response to the Great Commission, I will strive to spread the gospel to the uttermost parts of the world through the mission programs of Christ’s church. I will seek by personal example and personal effort to lead others to Christ and to encourage their growth toward Christian maturity in both life and work. Should occa-sion arise when I shall live elsewhere, I will unite with another church of like faith and practice where I can continue to carry out this covenant.
Thank You
Lance Ferrell says, “On behalf of myself and the Ferrell family we appreciate you and the members of Knightdale Baptist for making my dad’s 90th birthday a very special day he will always cherish.” The card is on the bulletin board in the Education Building.
