Dear KeyClubers,

I am very happy (and quite satisfied) to say that I have gotten

the privilege to meet a few of the wonderful people in your

clubs! How remarkable you all are and how awesome of how

close you guys have gotten over the year, I hope our entire

division becomes a family by April, 2014! I know that a few of

you knew about the Lilac Festival we had a few weeks back,

University High walked along side with Rogers highschool with

our float! We had a blast and I hope you will join us next year.

Congratulations to all the seniors! Great job!

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to

ask! Same with anything else you want to talk to me about!

-In loving service,

Autumn Solomon.

so

Hey there,

A lot of things have been set in motion for our Eastside

Rally! For those of you who don’t know about it, every year

our entire Division (46! ALL THE WAY!) gets together

including other Divisions in our area. You get to meet with

other KeyClubers from surrounding schools as well. It’s also

a great opportunity to get some training for incoming

officers that aren’t quite sure what their position means or

their job. The date has been set, August 1st, 2013 from 12

a.m.to 5 p.m. There will be food provided along with

games and possibly a dunk-tank! Bring some money with

you for our Miracle Minute! Also, registration will be online

this year and the reason for that is when we order our

shirts, (Crew Necks or regular shirts that say “Stay strong

and Rally on”) we have an exact amount to order. In

other words, if you say you want a shirt, you pay for it. If

you say you want it, you will get one! No refunds or

exceptions! If you can’t attend but your president can,

they will bring your shirt to you if you paid for one. All

officers are *REQUIRED to attend! It’s mandatory, no

exceptions unless family emergency. (Please email or

call).

Hey KeyClubers,

There have been some exciting changes and updates

since D-Con, one of those include a new District Project

that changes every year or so. Last year, it was Project

Educate. This year….PROJECT ELIMINATE! Yay! For those of

you that don’t know what Project Eliminate is, the

Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have

joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Neonatal tetanus kills one baby every nine minutes—

nearly 60,000 newborn children every year. A significant

number of women also die due to maternal tetanus. The

effects of the disease are excruciating—tiny newborns

suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme

sensitivity to light and touch.

To eliminate MNT from the Earth, 129 million mothers and

their future babies must be immunized. This requires

vaccines, syringes, safe storage, transportation, thousands

of skilled staff and more. It will take $110 million—and the

dedicated work of UNICEF and every member of the

Kiwanis family.

Our Division will try to raise as much money as we possibly

can! Hopefully, between 200-500 dollars! That means we

need to work hard to reach our goals! Help end MNT!

Hey there guys,

I’ve decided to start a new thing called “We earn our stripes.”

It’s similar to our previous “Feather Board.” But instead of it

being about which clubs show up to DCM’s, it will be more

along the lines of which clubs raise the most amount of

money for our District Project, and which clubs are most

involved in the community!
