Today we celebrate the birth of the final

prophet, John the Baptist, whose message

was to prepare for Jesus in the context of

repentance and promise. John was called

by God from early on, just as we are called

in Baptism. His role was to point to

something, someone, larger than himself.

We, too, have been called to do this

through the witness of our personal lives.

Our calling is far less dramatic, but it is just

as real.

"What, then, will this child be?" - Luke 1:66

First Reading: Isaiah 49:1-6 The Lord’s servant is called from his mother’s womb

Second Reading: Acts 13:22-26 Paul proclaims John’s special role

The CWL have come up with suggestions to care for the

environment

This weeks suggestion is:

REDUCE OF FOOD WASTE. It’s a good idea, if you can, to plan

the week’s menus before shopping so that the fruits and

vegetables don’t end up being thrown out.

MILK BAG COLLECTIONS

Parish where they are woven, by volunteers, into sleeping

The Feast of Our Lady of Mount

Carmel occurs in July which we will

The new immigration policy

of the US is simply very

disturbing & unchristian. Let

us bombard the US

embassy with letters to

nullify the policy. Let our

voices be heard.
