Microfinance Consultant Start: August 2015 – Based in Luxembourg - Duration: Permanent We are a consulting services company... offering specialised consulting services in the establishment of Impact Finance Vehicles with a strong

expertise in Microfinance Investment Vehicles (MIVs) and in vehicles supporting sustainable development sectors such as renewable energy or energy efficiency, fairtrade, responsible agribusiness or social entrepreneurship

acting as a portfolio manager by coordinating the investment management of a microfinance investment vehicle and reporting to the Investment Committee, which implies the following main activities: portfolio and pipeline management, financial projections, asset and liability management, risk management and reporting.

assisting promoters in the entire process of the establishment of investment vehicles, from the concept design to the actual inception of the investment vehicles (Setup services) and supporting existing investment funds in governance, corporate and administrative matters (General Secretary services)

with clients ranging from development finance institutions, such as KfW, EIB and IFC, to foundations, banks, NGOs, institutional investors and other consulting firms

specialised in the setup of complex investment structures similar to private equity funds

currently running several projects focusing on Asia, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe

We are seeking… A Consultant, with a first experience in the finance industry, eager to support the development of Microfinance and more generally Impact Finance. His/her main responsibilities will be to assist the senior consultant in his activities. This may include supporting him in the:

Interaction with the investment managers and data collection for periodic reports

preparation of portfolio monitoring reports for the investment Committee

preparation of the investment committee meetings: logistics and other administrative tasks

assist in the asset and liability management of the fund

revision/ update of internal procedures and other administrative tasks: - contribute to drafting/ updating internal investment-related procedures - file and archive internal documents

Besides, he/ she will be contributing to the implementation of a Management Information System and to designing reporting tools by conducting the following activities:

analysis of existing portfolio management tools versus in-house tool in MS Access

improvement of existing Excel reporting templates as per needs

You are: a university graduate (ideally in business, finance, economics or accounting), fluent in English and French

and/or German

strongly proficient in excel

with a first experience in finance/fund industry
