Dear Students:

This week you will all be taking the ERB exam in your English classes. It will be a great opportunity to showhow far your writing skills have come. Try your hardest and put to use all the writing skills you have learned inclass. Remember to bring a book to read in case you finish early.

Have you seen the Legends of Jazz banners hanging in the hallways? The concerts begin this week and youwont want to miss them. High Schools concert is November 16 and Middle Schools concert is December8. Check the bulletin for details or speak with your friends who have music classes.

This Saturday, November 19 is another opportunity for Saturday Service. Students and teachers will head toHabitat for Humanity and help build the community. Register in the Guidance Office or speak with Ms. Lim formore information.

Congratulations to the Middle School Academic Bowl team for WINNING the semester one Academic Bowl competition held at Faith Academy School on Thursday, November 10.

We officially open the Book Fair on Monday, 21st Novem-ber in the Fine Arts Theater 7:30 8:00am with:

Cooking Demonstration and Breakfast for AdultsThe ISM community is invited to join us for breakfast as weopen this event with a cooking demonstration from our spe-cial guest Aileen Anastacio, author of Home Caf 100Recipes for Irresistible Coffee and Delectable Desserts andlaunching her new book Home-Made for the Holidays, Over60 Treats to Enjoy at Home or Give as Gifts. There will becoffee/tea (sponsored by Allegro) along with cakes and

goodies baked using Aileen Anastacios recipes. Her bookswill be available at the New Book Fair. She will be happy toautograph copies of her book.

Daily Quiz for StudentsThere will be a Question of the Day competition for allElementary, Middle and High School students. Students willhave a chance to win National Book Store gift vouchers.Questions will be posted inside the ES, MS and HS librariesdaily as well as on notice boards for the duration of thebook fair. Students have until the end of the school day topost their answers in the box provided in the library. Thewinning entry will be drawn and posted on the library notice

board.

Author Visit for AdultsAs part of the New Book Fair, we have a special gueSamantha Sotto, author of Before Ever After. We inyou to meet the author to discuss her new novel.
