InoxSabiana 50 Introduction and main constructional characteristics

The InoxSabiana 50 is the result of innovativedevelopment based on over 10 years experiencein insulated flues, and aims to produce a highquality, versatile and easy-to-install product.

The choice of the raw materials, cutting-edgeconstructional technology and the detail paid toevery single accessory place the product at the topend of the market, in line with the high qualitystandards of all Sabiana products.

The InoxSabiana 50 series includes 6 differentdiameters (from 350 to 600 mm) and a completeseries of accessories to satisfy all installationrequirements.

The InoxSabiana 50 flues adapt perfectly to thenew high-efficiency boilers, with very low flueoutlet temperatures and high C02 content, thanksto the following fundamental characteristics:

• low thermal inertia, rapid stabilisation of the flue gas temperature;

• high thermal resistance of the walls, so as to increase the draught of the flue and maintain the flue gas temperature at high levels;

• high corrosion resistance, due to the quality of the steel used, and the type of welding;

• low internal static, so as to minimise the inside pressure drop.

•AISI�16Lstainlesssteelinnerwall (austenitic stainless steel 18/10 with low carboncontent,gradeUNIX2,CrNiMo1712). Thickness:0,5mm. Properties: high resistance to intergranular corrosionandparticularlyaggressiveproducts.

•AISI�04stainlesssteelouterwall (austeniticstainlesssteel18/10,gradeUNIX5, CrNi1810). Thickness:0,5mm. Properties:goodresistancetocorrosioninair andwater.Uponrequest,theInoxSabiana50R versionisavailable,withannealedDHPcopper 99.9outerwall,nominalthickness0.6mm.

•Rockwoolinsulationwithbasalticcomposition, minimumdensity90kg/m�,thickness50mm. Properties: the rock wool used is chemically neutral,isnothydrophilicnorhygroscopic,nor hasacapillaryaction.Itisfreeofasbestosand crystallinesilica,haslowconductivityvalues. Therockfibresmakingupthe insulationcan withstandtemperaturesexceeding1000°C.

Theinsulationisclassifiedasincombustibleby theFrenchstandardMO-CSTBn°92.�4624-�.

•Longitudinalmicroplasmaweldingonboththe innerandouterwall,ineachelement.

•Allthenon-insulatedelementsintheSabiana InoxSabiana50seriesaremadefromAISI�04 stainless steel (storm collar and adjustable flashingaremade inaluminium).Thescrews suppliedareinstainlesssteel.

•Allthenon-insulatedelementsintheSabiana InoxSabiana50Rseriesaremadefromannealed DHPcopper99.9,andsuitablythick.Thescrews suppliedareincopper-platedstainlesssteel.

•Minimumthermalbridgebetweentheinnerand outerpipe,duetotheadoptionofaninnovative fasteningsystem.

•Specialdesignoftheinnerwallsoastoallow free expansion according to the flue gas temperature.

Eachinsulatedelementhasamaleandafemalejoint.Ontheouterpipethemaleendmustbeinstalledupwards.Each insulated element shows the direction offluegasflow (directionof installation), eitherbyalabel.

Themaximumdistancesshowninthefollowingillustrationsmustbeobservedforallsupportandfasteningelements.

Alljointsmustbesecuredbyapplyingthespeciallockingband.

Theadjustableflashing,togetherwiththestormcollar, allows suitable protection against badweatherwherethefluepassesthrougharoof.

Variouscowlscanbeusedtoadaptthefluetothe different environmental and installationconditions.

The minimum distance between the flue andcombustible material is 50 mm for classO50,and75mmforclassG75(seepage5).Ifthefluepassesthroughanintermediatefloororceiling, thebasesupportplatedescribed inthis cataloguemust be used,with aminimumopening of at least 50 or 75 mm (dependingon the class) between the outer wall and anycombustiblematerials.
