Calling all carers: How do you want social care lawto change?
The government are working on a new law for social care andas part of deciding what it should say they did a consultation -we did some easier to read information explaining about thisand you can see it atwww.inclusionnorth.org/uploads/attachment/270/short-briefing-on-the-social-care-white-paper.pdf
Now there is a special committee asking people for their ideasand feedback on what should go in the law. They have set up aweb page to get feedback from carers on some things:www.communitycare.co.uk/blogs/adult-care-blog/2013/01/calling-all-carers-how-do-you-want-social-care-law-to-change.html
Inclusion North have helped write a paper on the new law andhow it can really change how social care works to build on whatgood things people and communities have and to help makesure there are the right kinds of support - you can read thatpaper herewww.inclusionnorth.org/resources/information-packs/caring-for-our-future/caring-for-our-future-a-radical-response-to-the-care-support-bill/
