Who inspires you?

My mother, she is classic and elegant so that is what I thinkabout when I am designing. Also my friend Kenya is young,beautiful and sexy. I often think about what she would wantto wear. I am inspired by everything around me. If you keepyour  Eyes Open  you will find inspiration everywhere. Alsoeach collection is inspired by a personal experience that hashappened to me. Mostly a romantic happening, my collectionsare full of love and romanticism.

Tell me how you learned to Design? Did you attend schoolhere in Chicago?

I am self-taught. I was studying Psychology and I decided itwas not for me. I moved to Chicago 13 years ago and took aSewing Class 5 years ago and I have been designing eversince.

What are feelings on Project Runway?

Love it!! I love Heidi and Michael Kors! Theyare the only reason I watch the show everyweek!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

– I see myself taking over the upstairsof my building and having a bigger workspace and studio and opening a secondnd

studio in Amsterdam. I truly love theculture and people there. They are startinga fashion movement and I would like to beone of the designers to help propel it.Amsterdam reminds me so much of Chicago,everyone is so nice and supportive. The cityis really on the cusp of driving a trulyunique fashion culture. Finally, a thirdstudio in Milan.

Do you plan on keeping Chicago your home?

Of Course, Chicago is an amazing city withso much to offer. I truly feel like Chicagois my home. Chicago has so much room forgrowth and it has an excellent supportstructure for the Fashion Community. I cannot imagine being any place else! Chicago isso loyal and supportive.

What Celebrities do you want to designer for?

Heidi Klum, I Love her! (CALL ME!) AlsoNicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon I wouldlove to design for them.

Borris and I shared a ton oflaughs but what is truly inspiringis how humble, honest and up-lifting he is. He is truly anamazing person with a huge heart,who is grateful for his talents,his friends, and to the city thatsupports and loves him.

Next on my list offavorites celebritylooks is the playful,simple, rocker look ofRhianna!

She is sporting anavy eye and amagenta lip.Again, prep your lidswith primer and thenapply a neutral eyeshadow (see #1) to theentire lid.Line your upper andlower lash line asclose to the eye aspossible with navyliquid or gel eyeliner(see #2) and wing itout in a straightunsmudged line.Then go over the navyliner and trace yourlower lash line with athin layer of blackeye shadow.Add false eyelashesand apply blackmascara.Use a luminousbronzer on your cheekbones and blend itout to your temples.

To finish the look,line your lips withnude lip liner andfollow with magentalipstick.

.(coming to theaters Mid.December) has Angelinalooking very polishedand glamorous. You cansee her wearing abrown smoky eye and anude lip.

To achieve this lookstart by prepping youreye lid with lidprimer (see #6), so thatyour lid will avoidcreasing.

Use a black eye linerpencil and trace alongyour upper and loverlash line smoothstrokes. To give thepencil staying poweruse a liner brush andsweep a thin layer ofblack eye shadow overthe pencil. Smudge theline to create a smokeylook and then applybrown eye shadow tothe lid and blend. Becareful not to blendover the crease.

To add a moredefinition to the eyeadd a little black eyeshadow to the outercorners of the eye andblend it in to thecrease. Follow with twocoats of black mascara.For the cheeks dab alittle bit of bronzerand smooth it with agood blush brush.

Line your lips withnude lip liner andapply nude lipstick onthe top. There youhave the look ofAngelina via the moviethe tourist!

The movie has a littlesomething for everyone and that makesthe perfect date movie! Something forhim to love, the action and abeautiful leading lady, something forher to love, seeing true love unfold isalways endearing and it's every girl'sdream to experience love at firstsight.

This story has an angle and a plotthat you don't see coming. Conflict isexpected to ensue when Lisa meetsJoshua but the twist displays the trueskill of the films writer and directorMike Merrill. It is my intention tomake you do a google search for thefilm and experience what it's like toget caught up in the film foryourself, in which you will discoverwhy under Mike Merrill's direction, hetook his cast of up and coming actorsand actresses to well known futureA-listers.

As a writer, producer, director and author, MichaelMerrill has made a life commitment to bringing qualityfilms based on real-life situations to moviegoers andreaders. Merrill was born and raised on the Westsideof Chicago, Illinois. He has been writing for 20 yearsand has three full-length screenplays completed andthree short films directed. The shorts include Twisted ;  On the Wrong Path  and  A Shot Away  allvery successful productions.

Merrill s love for telling stories and bringing themto life started while he was in college at SouthernIllinois University, where he pursued a degree in radio,television and film. Ironically, Merrill learned thefoundation of movie making while working for thecampus television station as a camera operator. Later,he transferred to Western Illinois University andstudied broadcast communications. After college,Merrill landed a job at American Airlines, where hehas worked for 15 years. While working and stillreaching for his film career, Merrill picked up apencil and paper and began writing stories, embarkingon his journey to becoming the captivating, intriguingwriter he is today. He attended classes at U.C.L.A. sextension program, Hollywood Film Institute, and FastForward that really taught him about the business andwas the inspiration for his continuance of his pursuinghis dreams.  I always was a visual person,  saysMerrill.  I wanted people to see my characters the wayI saw them visually .

His videos for the rap group  The Slick Boys ; a trio ofundercover police officers who perform positive rap songs, and Do or Die ; a national rap group, along with other local groups inthe Chicago area appeared on local and national stations includingMTV.

Jungle Allure brought out the wild animalin us all. I felt as if I was sitting in thejungle watching the wild elegant inhabitantsof the jungle strut down the runway. TheCocktail party started at 7pm and wewalked into a live band setting a great moodfor the evening. Great hor d'oeuvres andcocktails were pasted around and a funcandy bar was place to the side for guests toenjoy. The clothes was styled with a flairfor the wild and a taste of what you wouldsee on the red carpet. Aboona Girl pairedsexy with modes pieces to give the moderngirl the right look for day and night. Thejewelry gave the pieces a fun funky flair,and the shoes by Kham'ryn B were theperfect compliment to each outfit. If I wereyou Chicago I would watch for AboonaGirl .. because they are a Chicago Hush. Reviewed by Sarah Zac
