628 Machinery (VAT) – Auctioneers: James Morrish & David Kivell

A quieter day today for the August machinery sale of VAT goods saw a top call of £12,000 for the Lamborghini 1050 tractor going off to its new farm near Exmoor. The John Deere Gator (sold as seen) reached £4,200 going away to South Molton whilst the pick of the 6 hedge trimmers sold on the day hit £2,200 for the Bomford B498P. Sue & Phil Friend of Dartmoor saw their Lely mower cut away to £2,000 going off to North Cornwall with the best of 9 trailers today reaching £1,875 for the Hudson on behalf of Steve & Kat Pomeroy of Bradworthy. The best of the ride on mowers hit £1,400 and only one baler here today sold at £850 on behalf of Messrs Holland farms of Winkleigh. The 2nd consignment of Spanish roofing slates came in from Cornwall topping at £270 (x9) and the remaining 11 crates made £260 per crate.

Messrs Rural Excess travelled over from South Wales to sell 200 lots of small tools to a top call of £125 for the best of the chainsaws with lots between £40-£60 a regular thing.

140 lots of Pet food – Auctioneer: Tim Kivell Pet food saw a steady trade with most lots between £8-£12 with an overall top call of £14 for bags of dog food.
