Head to Toe Installation of ODI 11.1.0.5g

Step 1 First and Foremost step is the location of JDK in your machine . Make sure jdk is properly

installed in your machine .

Note If there are 2- 3 different versions of JDK installed in your machine Make sure in class path you

should mention the one which you want to use .

Currently we are using jdk 1.6.0_13 in our ODI 11.1.0.5 installation.

Step 2 The following window will automatically appear in you have given the correct path of jdk (as

mentioned) in the above command window.

Note Wait for few mins( 2- 5 mins) if the following window doesnt appear means jdk has some

problem .You should install JDK properly.

Step 3 In the following window you will see ODI Studio (Local agent) checked by default. Make sure

you check ODI installation and Standalone installation as shown in the window. Click NEXT then.

Step 4 Below window will appear automatically .

Step 5 Given is the default path where ODI get installed. You can also change if needed.

Step 6 By default Configuration Repositories radio button is selected .Click Skip Repository

Configuration button . Click NEXT .

Step 7 -- Enter the value Of Agent Name and Agent Port as given in the window.

Step 8 If you feel like get intimated in case you are getting some errors you can mention your Email Id

in the blank ( Optional) .If dont want click NEXT

Step 9 By NOT entering the email id and on clicking Next , the following window will appear . Click YES.

Step 10 The following Summary window will appear. Click Install .

Step 11 Progress window will appear .

Note Sometimes the progress/ installation doesnt start though you have properly installed JDK ( 1st

step) and by following all the above steps .Installation doesnt start because of not enough space in the

directory where you are trying to install ODI . So make sure you have around 2.5 GB free space wherever

you are trying to install ODI .

Step 12 After successful installation following window will appear .Click NEXT .

Step 13 Click Finish .

Step 14 Start ODI . On the left pan pop will you will see Connect to Repository the Login pop will

appear .

Step 15 Click + BUTTON on the above window. The following window will appear.

Step 16 Fill the given details in the above window .

Step 17 Finally you will be able to see Successful Connection.
