Newsletter Term 4 Week 2, 14 th October 2014 Upcoming events 20 th October – P&C meeting @ 6.30pm Dear Parents/Carers Congratulations to our students and families for the great start to Term 4. The commitment everyone has shown to being at school with a positive attitude to learning, the excellent standard of uniform and the cooperation between everyone, shows that we have a great school. This term, we have eight new students enrolled between Early Birds and Year 4 and this means that the good news about Gunnedah Public School continues to spread throughout the community. The Professional Practice of our staff is a constant goal for our school. Professional learning at our school uses the latest research to guide the development of teacher effectiveness. We develop skills that are shown to be effective and proven, using conclusive data and professional judgements. With the focus of our school being Serious About Learning, we are on the way to achieving some very important milestones in improvement. Community involvement in our school is extremely important and we are developing more opportunities for this to happen. The systems we have to support the education of our students are also a focus of school improvement. Have a great week Kind regards Stephen de Roos Merit Award recipients Learning News Last Thursday was our second parent workshop.
