We have all lost something during some point in our lives. We’ve misplaced our keys. We have forgotten our watches or our wallets. We may even have lost a pet dog or cat once. What did we do when we noticed that these things were missing? Did we search for them? Often it depends on the need or the urgency at the time. If it’s something we need, we start searching right away.
What about people that are lost? What do we do when we discover a person is missing? What if our son, daughter, husband or wife mysteriously disappeared? Would we search for them? Of course we would. Our family is near and dear to our hearts and minds. They are not something that can be replaced. They are an important part of our lives. We would spend as much time and money as necessary to find our loved ones and bring them home.
We’ve seen posters in Wal-Mart stores, post offices and on the windows of restaurants explaining that a child or loved one is lost and needs to be found. We’ve made it a part of our culture by bringing missing persons to the forefront of our television news programs. We’ve determined that searching for people is so important, our government agencies have set up special task forces that include police and fire departments. Today, we even have a system known as the Amber Alert to assist with finding children. People are important to us, and we dedicate our money, time and talents to search for those who are lost.
In Matthew 15:24, Jesus says that he “was sent only to the lost sheep.” He was not here for those who were already saved, but for those who were lost. So, who did Jesus focus his attention on? Did he spend all His time in the temples to convert the Jews? No. He spent His time talking with tax collectors, prostitutes, thieves and other people considered to be at the bottom of society. He spoke to those who lacked moral and ethical values. He spoke to sinners and those who had lost their way. In Luke 19, Jesus spoke to Zachaeus, a tax collector, and rejoiced when Zachaeus found the way. Jesus spent most of his life searching for the lost and rejoicing when He found them.
Just as the shepherd chooses to leave the 99 sheep behind and search for the 1 in the wilderness, it is up to us to do the same. The 99 left behind will congregate and form their own bond. They will be safe for a time while the lost is sought. In the same way, we are all missionaries who must leave this building, and enter the mission field of the real world. It is up to us to actively engage in the search for the lost and find those who truly need your help.
The problem lies with our own lack of desire to start the search. Sometimes, it’s a lack of confidence in our speaking ability. Sometimes, it’s a fear of embarrassment. Rarely is it a lack of opportunity. Can I challenge you? Begin the search today. You can make the difference of eternity for someone standing near you.
Blessings, Pastor Bob

“Do you know who you are? God made you a woman. Accept His giK. Don't be afraid to be feminine and to add physical and spiritual loveliness to the seMng where He has placed you. You are a child of God. You are a part of the bride of Christ. You belong to the King-‐-‐you are royalty. Dress and conduct yourself in a way that reflects your high and holy calling. God has called you out of this world's system-‐-‐don't let the world press you into its mold. Don't think, dress, or act like the world; inwardly and outwardly, let others see the difference He makes in your life.” ― Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Lies Women Believe: And the Truth that Sets Them Free
Whether married or single, you can make an indelible impact on every person you meet; let it be a posiAve one. As a woman, you have the opportunity to see intuiAvely, to walk into any situaAon and breathe life. Remember, the words you speak can either build up or destroy.
Choose today to speak life over your children, your husband, and your close friends. Choose today to use your lips to bless and honour God,
to encourage other women and to speak life over our younger women. Choose today to be friendlier and to be intenAonal in building friendships. Friendship is God’s idea, and as a woman, you were created for connecAon and relaAonships.
The Women's Ministry strives to bring women of all ages together with the purpose of encouraging and connecAng. Each event is designed to encourage and foster such relaAonships. Our desire is to see women grow and mature in their relaAonship with Jesus Christ, and to live out their faith at home, in the marketplace and in their local communiAes.
As part of our community outreach, we have supported Elisa House Women’s shelter, in Etobicoke. The women of GKM donated personal care items for the women at the shelter, this year, we will be partnering with them again. Thank you for your generous giKs. We also sent a team to Newlife Girls’ Home in Trenton. The women shared tesAmonies, life stories and leK a giK of flags for the young ladies to use during their worship Ame. In the future, we are hoping to partner with other community groups to bring life to the women in our city.
We invite you to join us for our upcoming event:
Saturday, November 10th at 10am – “Are You a Teacup or a Mug?” Don’t forget to sign up and remember to invite a few of your girlfriends. Pastor Elly Morin

Our Vision:Life with Jesus - Everyday, Everywhere.
1. Beat 1/3 cup shortening and butter on medium speed 30 seconds. Add sugar and baking powder, then egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat in cocoa powder and as much flour as you can with mixer. Stir in remaining flour. Divide dough in half. Cover; chill at least 1 hour.
2. Preheat oven to 375 degree F. Working with one portion of dough at a time, roll to slightly less than 1/4-inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Using a 4-inch candy-cane-shape cutter, cut dough. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven 7 to 9 minutes or until firm and lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheet; cool on a wire rack.
3. Heat white chocolate and 2 teaspoons shortening in a small saucepan over low heat till melted, stirring often. (Add more shortening, if necessary, for drizzling consistency.) Drizzle one cookie with chocolate mixture; sprinkle with candy. Repeat with remaining cookies. Let stand till set. Makes about 36 cookies.
