Getting Started with Quick Connect

Prerequisites In order to successfully connect to Lilly via Quick Connect, you will need the following:

1. An email titled Eli Lilly System – User Information Part 1 that provides your Lilly UserID / LillyNet ID (also referred to as System ID or username).

2. An email titled Eli Lilly System – User Information Part 2 with your randomly generated Lilly password.

The optimal LillyNet experience is realized on a Microsoft Windows® Operating System with an Internet Explorer browser version 11 or above. To see a full listing of supported Operating System and browser combinations, please go here http://www.lilly.com/help-info/Pages/connecting.aspx.

Before you Connect If you are using Internet Explorer, you must first add LillyRemote and Quick Connect as trusted sites in Internet Explorer.

a. In Internet Explorer, navigate to Tools then Internet Options.

b. Select the Security Tab and Click the Trusted Sites icon. c. While Trusted Sites is selected, click the Sites button.

d. In the “Add this website to the zone” field, input the appropriate entry for the Geography from where you are logging on: All global users outside of China must add: https://lillyremote.xh1.lilly.com and https://quickconnect.xh1.lilly.com All users in China must add: https://cnlillyremote.xh1.lilly.com and https://quickconnect.xh1.lilly.com

e. Click the Add button. f. Click Close. g. Click OK to exit Internet options.

NOTE: This section is not required for any browser other than Internet Explorer.

NOTE: If you are not able to add the site because access to do so is blocked by an administrator, you will need to contact your organization’s helpdesk/ administrator to have the site added by them.

Logging into Lilly

a. Use a web browser to connect to www.lilly.com. b. From the Lilly Home Page, click on login.

c. You will be presented with the Quick Connect logon screen. Select whether you are using a public or private computer, enter your LillyNet ID (referred to as User ID in the email titled Eli Lilly System – User Information Part 1) and press Submit.

NOTE: The private computer option should be selected if you are on a computer that you own and manage or a computer that is company-provided; otherwise, you should select the public computer option. Depending on your computer settings, you may not have to enter your passcode on subsequent logins if using a private computer. NOTE: If you are only able to select one of the delivery methods it’s because we do not have a valid Telephone Number and/or Cell/Mobile Number registered for you. To update your information, once connected to the Lilly network you can select ‘Update My Quick Connect Information’ from the “I Need to..” menu on the LillyNet Collaboration Portal. NOTE: Subsequent accesses on a machine that was chosen to be “private” in step “c” may skip steps “d” and “e”.

NOTE: The private computer option should be selected if you are on a computer that you own and manage or a computer that is company-provided; otherwise, you should select the public computer option.

d. Choose the delivery method (Email, Voice or SMS/text) for your 6 digit access code and press Submit.

NOTE: If you only have one option for access code delivery method, please update your Quick Connect information per the instructions below.

e. Once you have received the 6 digit access code using the previously selected delivery method, enter it on the web page by typing your access code or by using the keypad on the screen and press Submit.

NOTE: Subsequent accesses on a machine that was chosen to be “private” in step “c” may skip steps “d” and “e”.

f. Enter your LillyNet Password and press Submit.

g. You should now be successfully connected to Lilly using the Quick Connect

Service.

Change your Password

If this is the first time you have logged in to Lilly you will be prompted to change your password as follows.

a. Enter the initial password supplied in the email you received titled Eli Lilly

System – User Information Part 2 in the Old Password field. b. Create a New Password, then confirm. c. Click Change Password.

d. You will receive a message that your password was changed successfully. Sign in again with your LillyNet ID and New Password.

Password Requirements • 7-14 alpha-numeric

characters with at least one letter and one number

• Must start with a letter

• Must not be one of the last 25 passwords used

• Special characters and spaces are allowed, but not required

You will be prompted to change your password every 60 days.

NOTE: If this is the first time you have logged into Lilly you can find your initial Password in the email titled Eli Lilly System – User Information Part 2. If this is not your first time use the password you set. NOTE: You will be prompted to change your password every 60 days. You will receive email notifications prior to your password expiring.

Register your Challenge Questions and Answers

a. The LillyNet Collaboration Portal may appear, depending on your Lilly network access. If it doesn’t, go to the landing page (as indicated on the Getting Started Checklist) based on your domain.

b. Click Challenge Questions and Answers from the I Need To menu.

c. Click Continue from the Challenge Q&A Enrollment window. d. Complete the Challenge questions, and then click Submit. e. Go to https://reset.xh1.lilly.com and Bookmark/favorite the page. NOTE: Should

you forget your password, please access this Bookmark/favorite and follow the instructions to reset your password by answering the challenge questions.

f. Close the browser window.

NOTE: If you do not carry out this step you will be unable to self-reset your

password and any calls to the Service Desk for a password reset or other help will

take longer due to requiring your authentication by your Lilly Sponsor.

Update your Quick Connect Information

a. Go to the LillyNet Collaboration Portal (as indicated on the Getting Started Checklist) based on your domain.

b. Click Update My Quick Connect Information from the I Need To menu.

c. Enter your Lilly ID and password and click Submit. d. Update the fields with the necessary information.

• You can be emailed when content on a site is added or changed by setting up your alerts (this is present in most Lilly Collaboration Sites under “Page or Library” then “Alert Me”).

• If you are creating or uploading new documents in LillyNet, please consult with the site steward or your Lilly business partner for guidance on which codes to use for sensitivity and record retention.

• If you have been granted certain access, your landing page may look like the screenshot below. a. Home – This will bring you back to this screen. b. LillyNet – Select the correct link for your location. c. Outlook Web App – Select the correct link for your location. You can only access this if you have a

Lilly email account. d. Citrix – Select this if you have been given access to an application through Citrix.
