    Of the 790 canoes, Dale Chihuly has collected No. 763 and

    No. 766

    Blanket Wall

    Dale Chihuly has collected more than 1000 wool trade blankets

    since the late 1960s. For Dale Chihulys Northwest, the artist

    selected 232 wool trade blankets for a magnicent wall presen-

    tation, hinting at the depth of his collection. These blankets were

    manufactured from a number of factories, primarily from Pend-

    leton Woolen Mills and Oregon city Woolen Mills. Additional

    manufacturers include J. Capps & Sons Woolen Mills, Racine

    Woolen Mills, Beaver State, Jacobs Oregon City, Beacon Blan-

    kets, the Hudson Bay Company, Buell Manufacturing Company,

    and Northern Ohio Blanket Mills.
