NCBA S SPONSORS (continued from front page)

First sponsor of NCBA programs in Japanwas the Ernest Faber family of Obihiro, Hok-daido, which means that Bro. Faber was the

first person to buy radio-time to broadcast aNCBA production. The first Sunday of May1959the first re lease of NCBA to be aired on the

main islands of Japan was heard over JOHW,

Obihiro. For two years NCBA's CalvaiyCalls program was broadcast weekly over thisstation. The third year NCBA's Listen, 0,Isles replaced the former broadcast. Broadcast time is 8:00 Sunday morning.

Bro. Faber reports that from these broadcasts 43 persons have been enrolled in their

Bible Correspondence Course. Eleven havecompleted the course and six have becomeChristians. To keep these progrjuns on the airto reach those who might not otherwise be reached, Bro. Fabenneeds-aDproximately ^100.00 per

month. Funds fo r r ad io -t ime shou ld be sen t to

The first Sunday in August 1961 the Paul

Pratt family became the second sponsor ofVNCBA s programs on Japan s main islands.Taking up a 15-minute spot of radio-time, formerly used by Isabel Dittemore who now broadr

One of the most significant steps forwardmade by NCBA in 1961 was the purchase of landfor an FM station site on the island ofAWAJIA  ft antenna on our small mountain-top will

enable us to reach the whole of the Osaka Bayarea from Akashi to V/akayama with a very goodpossibility of our being able to reach over thelow mountains back of the property to a part ofthe Inl^d Sea area. Possibly Himeji   see map)and a tip of Shikoku Island   not shown) can bereached.

take over an adult Bible class on Friday nightin Kariya and a Sundav evening children'sgroup, which is always lively and full of eagerness. These classes have been taught by a youngfisherman, a member of the Free MethodistChurch, who is planning to move into Kobe thelast of January. This will leave Exie as theChristian including denominational) leader inKariya, a village of 5,000. Plans are beingmade for one of the girls from Osaka Bible Seminary to take over the children s class.

The office of NCBA is still in Osaka 2ind

will be until buildings can be erected on theproperty. This we hope will be soon. Exie nowspends three days a week in Osaka, three inAwaji and Sunday with classes in Kobe. Clos

est transportation is from Ura harbor to Kobe byferry. Crossing time is about 1 hr. and 10 min.Government plans are underway to link the island

to the mainland by a bridge from Iwaya to somepoint between Akashi and Kobe.

Another step forward by NCBA was the release of Calvary Calls over JOCF in Kago-shima. This was made possible by the sponsor

ship of Bro. Paul Pratt. We hope other similarreleases can be made in 1962. One such stepwe are taking in April, the Lord willing. Atthat time we plan to begin broadcasting our Little Acorns program over Radio Wakayama(see map). Half of Ae  60 needed each monthfor radio-time has been pledged by the \^onderWorkers Class, E. 49th Christian Church, Indrianapolis, Ind.; Brick Christian Church, Wa-
