    stituency of ce in Onanolelast Friday, February 25th.

    Present at the celebra-tion were several residentso the riding, students

    Minnedosa MLA LeanneRowat. On behal o theMinnedosa constituency and on behal o the cau-cus within the ManitobaLegislature, were very excited about having Bob

    Sopuck as part o the Man-itoba team, representing

    us ederally, Rowat said. Bob and I go back to 88. I have the utmost respect

    or him and its very excit-ing to be able to work withBob. Hope ully we havemany great things to look

    Special Olympics Manitoba continues to look orvolunteers to assist with their valuable program.rudy Adamson has dedicated her time to Special

    Olympics or close to thirty years. In the all o 1985,rudy decided she wanted to volunteer some time to

    help others in some way. Her rst choice was workingwith people with special needs.

    I just love working with these kids, especially i you are having an o day at work, just spending timeand meeting the kids, having an evening o un withthem, I come back eeling great, said rudy. T e ul-

    llment I get rom this is unbelievable.rudy currently volunteers as a coach or

    Minnedosas Special Olympics team, T e Centurions,a ul lling task she has enjoyed or a number o years.We are always looking or volunteers, said rudy.We currently have teen athletes and one volunteer.

    Any Special Olympics volunteer can assist withcoaching the di erent spor ts o ered through the Spe-cial Olympics program or move orward to being acoach.

    T e Centurions sport o choice is bowling and lastyear, the Minnedosa team made it to the ManitobaProvincial Games. From there, some o the local ath-letes quali ed to go ahead to the Nationals in oronto.

    T e local team bowls every second Wednesday o

    the month. Drivers are always needed to transport theathletes to various games and tournaments.
