It’s showtime. Dylan, the Dead, Jersey Shore surfing, an after-

noon and evening of New Orleans music and a newlook at Miles Davis are among the highlights of thesecond Asbury Park Music in Film Festival, set forApril 8 through 10 in Asbury Park.

More than 20 events and films have just been an-nounced. The festival spotlights films that feature amajor musical component.

“There’s content at this fest you just can’t get any-where else,” event producer Jamie Wark said. “Festi-val co-chair Tom Bernard (of Sony Pictures Classics)goes out of his way to say that this festival is sounique, this isn’t going to happen anywhere else.”

RARITAN BOROUGH - In what is believed to bethe largest settlement of an Open Public Records Actcase in New Jersey, the borough has agreed to pay$650,000 to Gannett New Jersey to settle a lawsuitfiled after borough officials denied a reporter’s OPRArequest for electronically maintained municipal sala-ry information.

“We are pleased and gratified that the Borough ofRaritan has decided to resolve this case,” said ThomasCafferty, attorney for Gannett New Jersey, the ownerof the Courier News, MyCentralJersey.com and fiveother New Jersey newspapers, including the AsburyPark Press. “Our client took no pleasure in pursuingthis matter and did so at great hardship and expense,but it did so because of the importance of access togovernment records in a meaningful fashion.”
