About the PresentationMastering Restorative Dentistry, A To Z:Adhesion To Zirconia There are key fundamental concepts that will determine the long-term favorable outcome of composite and ceramic restorations. This interactive presentation will provide treatment planning guidelines with scientific updates of adhesive systems and esthetic materials. Evidenced-based step-by-step protocols for preparation, placement and finishing techniques to achieve precise margins and eliminate post-operative sensitivity will be demonstrated with the Dental Microscope HD Video.

Course Objectives:1. Describe the optimal adhesives and materials for

specific cavity preparations;2. Utilize simplified protocols for preparation, placement

and finishing for posterior composites restorations;3. Achieve precise margins, consistent contacts and

eliminate post operative sensitivity;4. Demonstrate clinical protocols for anterior and

posterior ceramic based restorations from preparation to cementation;

5. Demonstrate step by step preparation techniques with the Dental Microscope HD video using specific diamonds for perfect finish lines for all ceramic crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays;

6. Describe innovative ceramic options for crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers;

7. Describe scientific and clinical differences between intra-oral scanning/chairside milling versus; conventional impressions and lab directed scanning and milling;

8. Describe better communication skills to encourage patients to better oral health and acceptance of elective dental procedures;

9. Utilize simple and predictable smile design methods for proper treatment planning of esthetic anterior restorations including veneers and full mouth reconstruction.

About the PresenterDr. Alan M. Atlas received his DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of dental Medicine and currently serves there as Clinical Professor, Director of Implant Dentistry, Co-Director of Comprehensive Care Cli9nics and Primary Care Unit Group leader in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences. In addition, he is actively involved in the development and integration of clinical research studies for implants, CAD-CAM ceramics and dental materials at Penn. Dr. Atlas is an internationally recognized lecturer whose unique academic and private practice perspective is focused on applying scientific based protocols to general and advanced clinical dentistry. His presentations pan worldwide. Dr. Altas serves on the editorial board of several journals and is Clinical Associate Editor of Qintessence International Dental Journal. He publishes on various topics in dentistry including research on esthetic and implant restorations and clinical protocols in adhesion restorative dentistry. Dr Atlas maintains a private practice dedicated to esthetic and comprehensive restorative dentistry located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania..
