Fun, Music & Fireworks Fort Lee hosts the Fourth at the Fort celebration on Wednesday, July 4, at Williams Stadium, located on Lee Avenue. is event begins at 2 pm with music, food and the KidZone (inflatable rides and games for the kids). Kid Zone tickets will be available for purchase at $1 each. At 7 pm the main stage will feature live entertainment from national recording artist, Justin Moore. General admission for the concert is free. To purchase limited VIP tickets, visit www.militaryconcert.com. A spectacular fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:35 pm. Parking is free. To access Fort Lee, those without DoD vehicle de- cals must present a govern- ment-issued driver’s license, current vehicle registration and proof of insurance. Adult passengers will need to show a driver’s license or other government-issued photo identification. Personal pyrotechnics, tailgating, glass bottles, smoking and pets are not permitted in or around the event area. Coolers may be no larger than 6” x 6” x 12”. Summer Reading There’s still time to sign up for the Fort Lee Community Library’s free “Reading is Soooooooooooo Delicious!” Summer Reading Program. This program is open to readers of all ages. Prizes will be awarded. For more details, visit the library circulation desk or call 765-8095.

Bean Bag Toss Tournaments

The HideAway will host double-elimination Bean Bag Toss Tournaments on July 13 & August 3; prizes awarded. Two-member teams may register the day of the tournament. For information, call 734-6106

Morale Nights The Overtime Sports Bar, located on the lower level of the Lee Club, is boosting morale Tuesday through Saturday, 4 - 7 pm, with over 20 flat screen television with DirectTV Sports package, Buzztime electronic trivia games, FREE popcorn, FREE pool on Tuesdays and FREE Dart Tournaments on Thursdays. Family Fun Day Join us for our annual Family Fun Day at the Battle Drive Pool (located directly behind the Lee Club off of Battle Drive) on Sunday, July 22, 2 - 5 pm. Kayaking Shake up your workout while touring the area’s his-toric and picturesque waterways on a kayak. The adventure launches from Roslyn Landing in Colonial Heights. Upcoming scheduled trips: Juy 18, August 1, 15 & 29 and September 12 & 26. Participants must register with Outdoor Recreation at least two days prior to the event. Cost: $10 per session; kayaks, paddles and life jackets pro-vided. For more information, call 765-2212.

Free Bowling The Fort Lee community is invited to bowl for free every Monday night this summer at the Fort Lee Bowling Center. Sponsored by the USO, free play is 5 - 8 pm and is based on availability. For more information, call 734-6860.

Skateboard Design Kids (6th - 12thgrade) are invited to the Youth Center, July 30 - August 3, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, to create their own design on a unique canvas– a skateboard deck. After completing the graphic design, the young artists keep their custom-designed deck. This class is FREE.

Basketball Camp Kids aged 4 - 14 are invited to the Fort Lee Field House, July 23 - 27, to hone their court skills. Cost: $125 for full day; 8 am – 4 pm; $75 for half day; 8 am - noon.
