Handling and storage of huge quantities of containers: The inland terminal in Prague is one of the largest in Europe.

Intermodal operator Metrans links the Port of Hamburg daily with many container train pairs to the Czech Republic and South-East Europe. Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and Koper have high frequency services, which link the Czech Republic’s market leading export-strong economy to the world trade. One of the largest European hubs in Prague, as well as inland terminals in the Czech Republic (Pilsen, Zlin, Ostrava) and Slovakia (Dunajská Streda, Košice), make shuttle train links possible with the seaports, as well as optimized container railcars and transit times between 12 and 24 hours. This industrialization of the transport chain creates cost advantages and reduces environmental impact. Metrans enjoys trust through high reliability and comprehensive services. If required, the company will carry out all customs formalities, local delivery and collection as well as container storage. www.metrans.cz

Market leader in container movement between terminals and active in long-distance traffi c.

CTD CONTAINER TRANSPORT SERVICE

Refrigerated containers need electric power. Dangerous goods can only be carried by special permit and for very heavy boxes you need special permission. Container forwarder CTD is well equipped to deal with all these challenges. The market leader in the Port of Hamburg also offers its services in local German conurbations and in European long-distance transport. The marketing plat-form CIT (Container Inland Trucking) in cooperation with EKB Container Logistics offers the customary quality in other economic regions. Intermodal traffi c by train and barge are integrated into the performance spectrum. With many innovations CTD is continually further developing transport concepts: the ‘CTD trucker system’ reduces energy consumption during container movements and avoids empty moves. www.ctd.de
