Physicals / References (page 1)Physicals must be turned in by Tuesday, March 5th at 4:00pm. No Late Physicals will be accepted. Per GHSA Rules, a student cannot tryout without an up to date physical.

Two Character Reference Forms: to be mailed or turned in by reference. References must be 2 current teachers or coaches. ● As Coach Wood has previously stated, if you are trying out for both Comp
and Sideline, the references will be the same and work for both teams
Booster Club (page 2)If your child should be selected for one of the 2019-2020 squads, the first booster meeting will be held on Monday, April 15th @6:30 PM in the cafeteria. ● At that time, you will receive a complete listing of items that will need to be
purchased and other costs for the year according to your squad. ● At this meeting you will also receive information on Program Sponsor Ads
which is out program fundraiser AND an opportunity for you to deduct money from your fees.
Our second Booster Club meeting will be Thursday, May 2th @6:30 PM in the cafeteria. Please be prepared to settle ALL BALANCES at this meeting. You will be able to
split your payments into two checks or paypal payments.
General Cost (page 2)● New Cheerleader: $700-$750
● Returning Cheerleader: $500-$550
Tryouts and Tryout Info (PAGE 3)Tryout Clinic: Monday, March 18th – Wednesday, March 20th (5:00 – 6:30 PM) NFHS Practice Gym
*Please wear shorts, t-shirts/tanks, and athletic shoes (preferably cheer shoes) each day. *Hair must be up in a ponytail out of your face. No jewelry of any kind. Nails must be sport length with no polish.
Final Round of Tryouts: Friday, March 22nd, 4:30 start time. Tryout times will be given during tryout week.
You must wear solid black shorts, solid white top, white bow.

TEAMS (PAGE 3)North Forsyth will be having a JV Football and Varsity Football Spirit Cheerleading Teams. We have not set a specific number of athletes that will be chosen.● JV Cheerleading will cheer for both 9th Grade Football and JV
Football games. They will cheer 8 consecutive home games and will not travel to away games unless either team makes the playoffs - then transportation to these games will be arranged.
● Varsity Cheerleading will cheer at all Varsity Football games and will travel to all away games.
Please be aware of this year long commitment

Expectations / Demerit SystemA demerit system has been created and will be implemented throughout the entirety of the program.
Demerits will be given according to the demerit system and by the discretion of the coaches toward actions deemed unacceptable.
Expectations / Demerit SystemPenalty for Demerits:For each demerit earned, cheerleaders will run 2 laps during the practice at which it was earned or the next practice if the demerit is earned at a game or other mandatory event.
After 3 demerits: ½ game benchedAfter 6 demerits: 1 whole game benchedAfter 9 demerits: 2 whole games benchedAfter 12 demerits: Removal from the squad
